I just received word from my mom that she had to take my stepfather to the hospital early this morning around 4:00 a.m. He woke up about 3:30 a.m. and said he wasn't feeling well. He had a tightness in his chest, his arms hurt, he was sick to his stomach, and was sweaty, so my mom took him to the hospital.
Normal heart rate is around 88 beats a minute. At the hospital his was 188 per minute. His blood pressure was through the ceiling. He had a similar problem about two years ago. They called it a rapid heart beat. They are running tests to see if it was a malfunction of the heart or a real heart attack. Much to his displeasure he needs to stay in the hospital tonight for observation.
I know my mom is really worried, especially after losing my father only 5 years ago (she married David only a year and a half ago). If you can take a spare moment, please send them both prayers and pixie dust for me. Thank you.
