Well we arrived yesterday early evening and went straight to the hospital. After doning our protective masks we entered... You try to prepare yourself but you never do a good enough job...Such an active vibrant woman and now she is wasting away and the steroids have given her a swollen face.....We were able to spend about 1min and a half with her before she said she was tired.. .

I'm hoping to go back today before I leave and spend some more time....

Thanks for all your prayers...now we are looking for a miricle...

Well I have returned from my whirlwind 48hr trip to and from NC..Before we left yesterday, we went to the hosptial again to visit for a few minutes before we leave. It was a very heart wrenching visit...lots of crying and hugging and I love you's...We (me,aunt, uncle) drove home with a very heavy heart...we honestly felt there wasn't hope....

They gave her the 2 pints of blood and 1 unit of platlets yesterday afternoon and evening....This morning dad spoke with her Dr. and it looks like we have been given a mini miricle...she has begun to make blood again and her blood counts have gone up significantly...I say mini because I'm hoping this upswing will continue...but unfortunately you never know with this illness.

Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts...keep it up if you can ......
