Oh gosh! That is so sad to read! I hope that they get him the care that he needs, soon, so that he can lead a long, happy and healthy life. I will keep him in my prayers.
I just recieved more info on Steve. For several days now, we have been in an information vacuum (Steve works out of San Antonio and our main office, where I work, is in Austin, so we don't get to hear as muchas we would like).
Anyway, I just found out that steve went home late today!!! They are still running tests on his heart, and last I heard it was still only funtioning at 30% capacity, but I'm think they wouldn't have let him go home if he hadn't made some sort of major improvement. I will try to find out more and post it here as soon as I can.
I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Steve's wife has requested that we continue praying that his heart may regain some of its former strength and that he may have a normal life again. As I mentioned before, the damage done by the virus is usually permenant, but I am a big beleiver in the power of prayer.
Thank you all again for your concern for my friend. You folks are the best.
