Prayer and pixie dust requests--Updated May 2

...prayers for my DH...his prostate cancer has returned...he just started radiation treatments - 39 of them, plus he is undergoing anti-hormone therapy. So far, he seems to be okay, but not so much in about 4-5 weeks.
Praying for your husband, and for you also.

For sure, Kim.'s Prayers and good wishes follow your husband. Sounds like they have a good course of treatment planned. And continued prayers and good wishes for your continued recovery, Kim.
...I saw my neurologist yesterday. He advised me to see my opthamologist to have a specific test done [I forgot the name of it] to see whether I am allowed to drive again....so far so good with my DH.

I would like to ask for prayer for my daughter Mary. A little background: Mary teaches elementary school. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and also has a law degree and a Masters in World War 2 history. She moved to Michigan in 2024 and secured her first teaching position for this school year. Unfortunately, she has a class of very challenging students. They refuse to follow her instructions or do any work, call her names that are so vile I cannot print them here, fight each other in the classroom, etc. It's just a horrible situation. She does have the support of the administration, but the kids still refuse to cooperate. Mary is a wonderful teacher and her students are blessed to have her. But she leave school every day mentally exhausted. Please pray that the situation will improve and the kids will realize how much Mary cares for them.

Prayers for your daughter. What a bad situation! Hopefully those kids will get with it and realize what a gem they have with your daughter. Blessigs that your daughter can cope with the situation.'s

....obviously, she does NOT have their support, or else they would no longer be acting like that. May I ask what the age(s) of the students are?

Yeah... if she had actual admin support, this would stop. My guess is they are listening to her but not becoming actively involved. I bet if the principal or assistant principal sat in on her class, the crap would end. I taught in a K-8 school for 10 years and IME, 4th-6th grade is the worst time for boys. The girls get catty, but the boys' behaviors are just intolerable. @NannyBeBe I hope your daughter can get admin on her side and that they take an active role in straightening this out.

My husband found out that he has Crohn's disease. He will be seeing his doctor again and get something to handle the flare-ups with it.
I had surgery in November to remove a neuroma from my foot. I had one on my left foot and had it done a number of years ago. This one was on my right foot. I will be having surgery in January on my right wrist/thumb for the arthritis which is now bone on bone in my thumb. Cast for 6 weeks an from 6 months to a year recovery.

My granddaughter just had check ups with her doctors and they were happy with what they saw. Her cardiologist was pleased to find out that she has started to do some workouts at a local gym. This has also got my daughter to do the same.

My daughter Mary will be traveling home to us on Monday. She's coming from Michigan, flying through O'Hare. Please pray for safe travels and that God will cause the weather to be good so that all who are traveling for Christmas have safe travels with no delays. It's been over a year since we've seen Mary and we are counting the hours, especially her twin sister who misses her so much.

Best wishes for your husband, Mimi, in getting that Crohn's under control.

You're going to do well with the surgery. You'll be playing handball in no time.

Always nice getting results like that!! :cloud9:
This has also got my daughter to do the same.
And having her mom, your daughter, following the same regimen, sounds great to me also.

Safe and trouble free travel wishes for Mary, BeBe. Will be so nice to have her home for the Christmas holidays.
