Oh yeah for me too, as I have 2 jobs 7 days a week until September to help pay for it all.

Hi I am new to the dis boards and can't believe all the caring and kind people who post on these boards!! They might have to change the name to the disney family boards! Okay fellow Dis-ers.........this time I'm asking for myself
I could really use the prayers and even some Pixie Dust for myself this time. I got a rather disburbing report on Friday afternoon, just as I happily got home from work for the weekend, and needless to say, have spent most of the time since crying or being angry. I won't go into detail, but sufffice to say it's pretty serious stuff the doctor is talking about, life threatening situation, so I really need all the prayers to God that I can get. If it wouldn't be much trouble, I'd appreciate your help.. Thanks to one and all, and God Bless all of you.

Sunday evening, my FIL tripped and fell in his livingroom, breaking his hip. He will require surgery, however upon the initial tests in the hospital, they found that he had significant heart damage, and the doctor couldn't recommend the hip surgery until more testing was done on his heart. So this morning, they transfered him to The University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore and ran tons of test. The results showed that at some point in time a while ago, he had a major silent heart attack and has major damage to his heart. Ugh. He is now on the Fast Track for surgery (on his hip) and we are praying that he gets it tonight, or at the latest, tomorrow morning. The surgery is very risky due to his weak heart, but right now it's his only option. If he doesn't get the hip fixed, he could be bedridden for the rest of his life. He's only 60!

Please, please keep him in your prayers.

My FIL has been diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer, and according to one of his doctors, we'll be fortunate if we still have him at Thanksgiving.

We know that this disease will claim him, and so rather than praying for a cure, we're praying that the rest of the family can accept this as well as he has. And we're praying for as much good, quality time with him as we can possibly have, along with lots of new memories of their grandpa for our two children.

Brenda--I accidentally clicked on this thread (psycho new wireless mouse), but maybe it wasn't an accident after all. My uncle was diagnosed a couple months ago with Stage IV pancreatic cancer as well. I've never lost a relative other than grandparents and it's very scary, especially this particular type of cancer. I've been reading the Johns Hopkins message boards for info--it's difficult to read, to see what might lie ahead, but they have the absolute best advice of anywhere I've looked. I can send you the link if you want.

Prayers for all of you--I never click on this thread because it's so hard to read, but I'll be thinking of you who've posted.

I came here to ask all of you to pray for my sister. Her name is Debbie. She has had malignant brain tumors removed twice and has spent the last 2 yrs. doing chemo. most of the time. She had gone a year tumor free. She found out Fri. that the tumor has returned. Her doctor/surgeon say there's nothing more they can do, and they're sending her to Duke Cancer Center. She has a 9 yo. daughter. Please pray for her, it is her prayer that she be able to raise her daughter. Thank you all for caring enough to be here. I'll pray for all of you.

I am so glad I found this thread!! What a WONDERFUL idea this is. God bless all of those whose prayer request are posted here and I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. I do have two request for two children....

Hanna was a friend of ours in Mississippi. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 14 months old and fought a brave battle for two years....she just passed away on Sunday morning of this week. Her funeral was today, and it goes without saying that her family needs our thoughts and prayers more than ever right now...here is a link to Hanna's site - you can leave her family a message here and see this beautiful little princess for yourself. Hanna had a friend named Ben whom also is suffering with a tumor and is facing surgery tomorrow...please pray for his surgery to be a success and for him to be fully healed so that he may run, laugh and play as all little boys his age - without worry or fear of this tumor.
