Prayer and pixie dust requests--Updated May 2

God wishes and prayers for all who are hurting, in pain, ill. Some very tough reads here. I do pray for God's mercies.

So sorry also to read of Dan's passing, sad, so sad. :(

Hoping for brighter days for all.'s

Thanks for the prayers and wishes for Dan. This is a rough week for Jessica with having to make all the arrangements. She's a tough youg lady though, she's doing better than some of the rest of us. I think having a little baby to take care of helps. She has to function everyday for him.

Roemama1....I'm praying for you also, please keep us posted.

Prayers to everyone else who are in need right now.

A co-worker is in desperate need of prayers and pixie dust.
On Nov. 17 her 8yr old grandson was admitted to the hospital after passing out. (This little boy has Angelman's Syndrome which is also known as the "happy baby" syndrome.) Upon being admitted to the hospital he was diagnosed with a viral infection and supposed to be released late Saturday, Nov 18. By the afternoon of the 18 he was re-diagnosed with pnemonia, and by Sunday he had contracted a Staph infection and also Herpes. He is now on a ventilator, and it's wait and see.

On Nov. 21 her husband had his cardiology check-up. They ran some tests and found that 5 of his 6 arteries were blocked and needed a 5 bypass surgery ASAP! Since he had a single bypass 18 years ago, the ballloon wasn't an option. This morning at 6am he went into surgery. At 2pm we had heard that he was out of surgery and that the Dr.s were very hopeful for a complete recovery. But again it's a wait and see.

All I ask is that everyone say just a quick little prayer for the Gottlieb family.

Thank You!

Prayers and Pixie Dust requests for my friends Patty and Steve and their daughter Nicole. They will bury their youngest child/sister Kristen, who died in a fire on Christmas morning, this Thursday. Steve, Patty and Nicole are still recovering from their injuries also sustained in the fire. Steve lost his sister and young niece to the fire, as well.

Last evening I found out I have breast cancer. It's very, very early. The Dr's nurse practioner was the one who called. She said that they don't even really call it breast cancer yet, as the cancer cells are still in the the milk ducts. Sorry - cancer cells are cancer cells! Other core sample tissue taken for biopsy showed "atypical" cells. I go in Monday Jan. 24 to discuss with the Dr. my options. I have calcifications - tiny, tiny white things smaller than a grain of sand.

This Monday I'm taking my husband to Pittsburgh for some specialized testing to see if he's a candidate for more brain surgery to eliminate his facial seizure problem. If he is, the seizures will be "cured".

We'll just have to schedule our surgeries around each other. What a winter! I'm still recovering from a hysterectomy done Dec. 6 - benign ovarian tumor. I thought I was out of the woods!

Sherrie,

I just wanted to stop by and give you and Gary a big (((hug)))

You are both in my thoughts and prayers!

I am requesting prayers for Glen - a gentleman who is having thoughts of suicide that he shared in a Bible Study group. Please say a prayer for him.

....pixie dust for all of you who need it! :grouphug:

Please send a prayer out for my MIL. She underwent knee-replacement surgery on Friday, and afterwards, in Recovery, she suffered a heart attack. She is in ICU and the drs. are trying to stabilize her so that she can undergo a triple by-pass operation on Tuesday..... :guilty:

A short sad story with a moral which I'm sure we've all heard before but didn't really take seriously...last year my brother in law, Ariel, and his son Charlie(my nephew) got into a fight. It was years brewing and was ugly enough that they called the cops on each other and both were charged with domestic abuse and ordered to stay away from each other.
Fast forward to about 2 months ago...Charlie is now living with his Aunt...he enrolled in school to get his GED, he's saved up some money and with Grandma to cosign he got himself a motorcycle which allowed him to get a job...things were looking up for Charlie but he reqretted the rift with his dad. Charlie stopped by his fathers job to try to mend fences but his dad was being hardheaded about things.
Fast forward to 2-16-05...Charlie has been out visiting a friend...he's blocks from his Aunt's house where he's living but something happened as he was getting off the expressway... we're not sure what happened but a beautiful 18 year old has lost his life. And his father is wracked with guilt.

Moral: forget the stupid grudges and arguments, it's not worth it...say I LOVE YOU today...while your loved ones are still here because in an instant...it could be too late.

Do hope Glen has found life worth living, so much to live for. And Kim, hope your MIL is doing well. So true, got2lovedisney, so sad. Mickey Nut 50, continued prayers, good wishes for both you and hubby.

Prayers for my son please. He is a beautiful, kind young man who has three little guys. You couldn't ask for a better father, husband, son, friend. He sacrificed so much of his life studying to be a doctor and he has saved countless lives.
We have been told that he will probably need a kidney transplant sometime in the next year. Pray please that his kidney heals and, if not, that a good donor can be found for him.
He has taken his little ones to WDW twice a year since they were born and they need him to be strong and healthy to take him a hundred more times.
Thank you for your prayers. His mom.

I am going to add mine here also......I figure our family can get all the P&PD we need....now I just have more to include in my prayers.......... My MIL isn't doing well. About a week and a half ago, she went on a vent and in ICU. Things looked so bad, DH flew from PHL to MCO to see her (my DH hates to fly, let alone fly alone, so you get an idea of how bad a shape she's in.) So, while there, she improves slowly and even gets off the vent a week later (day after DH came home). She ate some jello, popsicle and scrambled eggs. Then, boom. They almost lost her. She went back on the vent. This is her prognosis: take her off the vent and make her comfortable or give her a tracheotomy and nursing home with a 20% chance of coming off the vent someday and maybe home (she'd go to a nursing home for awhile first). My MIL will only be 68 yo June 1st...so, she's not old. We know her passing is inevitable, but we're trying to hang on for as long as possible. She is lucid and wants to keep fighting (good thing, cuz we'd be mad (accepting, but mad) if she just wanted to give up). It's so hard to be so far away at times like these, but all our P&PD worked before--at the beginning of this when we first thought we were going to lose her to pneumonia. So, if you could put Anne in your prayer, we would appreciate it. We are just trying to get her to July 4th weekend....she has a huge party planned for FIL for his 70th bday. All the kids, grandkids, cousins, brothers, etc....the entire family together...for what will probably be her last time. I thank you cuz I know the P&PD works....it did once....I'm shootin' for a second time! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Bubba's Mom - I will keep your MIL in my prayers. You are right, she is too young to be so ill. I don't know anymore if it is ours to try to understand how life can be so hard at times. The important thing is that she is surrounded by love.
The one thing I have learned from the Boards is that we are all joined not only by our love of all things Disney but we seem to have an empathy and love of family that is pretty intense. I guess it must be the type of person who loves Disney is also very family-oriented. That is not to say that non-Disney folks can't love their families just as intensely, just that it is so evident as you read the Boards that we seem to share many of the best qualities people have to offer.
I hope that all turns out well for your family. I know how hard this road can be but try to put it in God's hands (as it is anyway) and perhaps that will relieve some of the burden from your heart. God Bless.

coming in, Good Friday, adding prayers . I am reminded tonight in prayer, how much I enjoy online friendships, how real people seem, and I am reminded of God, and how real He is. Tonight, of all nights. May He hear our prayers, fill us with His peace, may we know what path to go, and follow Him. May He continue to shelter us with His love, and show us His way. May we continue to pray, and be forgiven, by His grace, in His love, I pray. Thanks be to God.

i'm having blood work drawn today to make sure i'm still pregnant, and not having a miscarriage...

I'm not able to see the prayer list link but have said prayers for those in need including my sister Janie. Very good idea here Kermit.:shamrock:

The posts are all so heart felt. Bless you all. Allow me to contribute a prayer:

Dear God,

We are, each, on a spiritual journey
In which we seek that meaning
Withdrawn at birth.

We are, each, on a spiritual journey
In which we seek to feel ourselves
One with Your Whole.

In this moment
Let me feel this truth:
I am One with You.

Never separated
Except by illusions
All I need do
Is open my heart
And feel the Presence within.

My journey will end
As it began
As meaning fills my heart
And I just know.

Thank You for my awareness of You.

Amen.

from Prayerforce: 365 Days To A New Life

God bless you all.
