Prayer and pixie dust requests--Updated May 2

Today while at work I was given the kind of news you really never want to hear.

My co-worker, and good friend, Jon, was in a car accident this morning around 8:30am in Woodbridge, NJ. Unfortunately, Jon did not make it.

I am crushed and saddened by this. I was hoping that all us Dis'rs (my Internet family) could say a prayer and send some PD towards his family for me.

"Move on, be brave
Don't weep at my grave
Because I am no longer here
But please never let
Your memory of me disappear"

Thanks....

Fred,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is to lose a good friend. Sending prayers to you and his family. You have my deepest sympathies.

Fred, What a terrible day for you and especially his family. Accidents happen everywhere, of course, but NJ can be especially treacherous. My thoughts and prayers are with you and them! Sending lots of PD your way.

So sorry to hear this. I can't imagine how you feel at this time. You and his family will be in my bedtime prayers. PD & {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for you and his family.
God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear that news about your co-worker and friend. It is so sad to lose someone so suddenly and without warning. I send my prayers to his family, and to yours. But I do believe in God, and I do believe in a better place after this life, so I'm sure that he is there and smiling down on everyone who is missing him.

Fred,
Im so sorry to hear about your friend Jon. My Prayers go out to both your family and his. You and your family are such a bright light on the WL board that I am so sorry to have something like this happen at all. Much PD and continued prayers.

Fred, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Jon. Prayers and PD are heading to you as well as his family.

I am very sad tonight thinking of the families involved in the accident at Disneyland today. My thoughts and prayers are with all of them.

[I can emphasize with you as I lost my Wife of 35 years to Breast Cancer. There is nothing I can say to ease your pain except to say I share it with you and you and the children are in my prayers. I know all the feelings that you are going through and they are natural. It will not get any easier in a year or two as it never goes away. You will come to the point that you will be able to push it to the back of your mind, but it will always be with you. You are also overwhelmed with many tasks and or decisions. Do one at a time until your brain quits buzzing. Please encourage the children to talk about her and know what they are going through.

Like you, she was my life and I enjoyed being a Husband. I enjoyed doing things for her or buying little gifts for her. I enjoyed people and I enjoyed helping people and I felt like my life was ripped from my chest. I also understand your frustration with the Doctors, tests, treatments. More test more treatments. An endless cycle. My opinion was it wore her down to the point she had no strength left to fight. To this day I have a hard time going to a Doctor or hospital, even when I am ill. I spent everything I had to save her and nothing worked.

I am going to share something else with you. Since you did not plan to go to WDW, but your fellow employees did. Then my advice it to do it, as it is her that is telling you to go through them.

Go to the one place where there is Magic and let the healing start. Believe she is there with all of you.
God Bless

I typically lurk around here, but I do hang out and read most posts. I thought it wouldn't hurt to post asking for a prayer for my newly born nieces.

My husband's sister was 29 weeks pregnant and started contractions last week. Her doctors were hoping that they could keep her in the hospital, laying flat for another 6 weeks, but last night they couldn't stop her labor and she gave birth to two little girls. Arielle is 3 lbs and Alexis is 2lbs. They don't seem to have any other problems other than they are on a ventilator because they are just so tiny. They are expected to stay in ICU for at least 6 weeks.

Dave (my hubby) and his sister just recently dealt with the unexpected death of their father 3 weeks ago, so we've already dealt with quite a bit this past month. We're praying hard that those little girls pull through. So if you're willing, please say a prayer for Arielle and Alexis .

Thank you,
Anna

Take heart, I was three pounds at birth. My Mother has pictures of me in a box for a crib and they used mens hankies for diapers.

Majestic can attest, I am a fat old man. LOL

My good wishes and prayers re with both Arielle and Alexis, Anna. Hoping they do well, I am sure they will.

They will all be remembered by me. Please also remember, we can support and listen to anyone who is worried. You know where we all are.

Thank you so much for the prayers!

Majestic - I do feel better knowing that someone so small can turn into someone with such a big heart! :D

Hi all. Some PD is need this way. Just found out that my wonderful husband may have an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. He's having a CT scan at 2:45 today.

I'm trying to gather any information I have on this and it all doesn't look good :( . If this is what it is, all I can say is thank God it was found.

Anyhow, I'm worried because like I said, the information I've been trying to gather about this and about possible surgury isn't making me feel any better.

Hopefully I'll know more within the next few days. In the meantime, please keep us in your thoughts!

Beth,

Sorry to hear your news....you will be in my prayers....sending lots of PD as well!!:wizard: :wizard:
