Pray for Eddad:..Thanks again

Ed looks wonderful! It is hard to believe he's been through so much. He's amazing.

The person in charge of discharges spoke to us today.. They are trying to get him into rehab..Apparently rehab has to choose him..They want people who need a certain level of rehab...If he is doing too well they won't take him.. They area actually taking it a little easy wth the in hospital rehab to make sure he can get in.. A couple of places will come tomorrow, check his records and see if he meets their criteria.. They are guessing he will need 1-2 weeks of rehab.
He needs a little more debridement on one side of his leg.. They are going to try to get him in for that quickly...I actually watched them change the leg dressings today..Yuck.. It wasn't as bad looking as I expected.. One side is actually ready for a graft.. They other side was much deeper.. Now I know what the inside of a leg looks like :scared:

OMG Jenny I would have passed out!!!! Good luck tomorrow

Wow, after all he's been through it's strange to hear that he could be rejected for rehab for doing too well. I hope he is able to get in and continue his amazing progress. What's up with your mom??

Nothing new to report with Mom..Surgery is set for April 3rd.

I may have missed it in all the posts, but did you ever get things straightened out with where she'll be able to go post surgery??

If she does need post care it looks like she will also go to a rehab, but just for a few days..I think that now that she realizes that there is a difference between rehab and a nursing home she feels better

I hope you're seeing that light at the end of the tunnel and feeling better.:)

I AM ..It helps that he fully here now,if that makes sense.. When I talk to him, it's really him talking back..Not a drugged up out of it Ed

Jenny, Ed is such a strong soul!

He looks good in that pic. Not many people look that good in a robe in a hospital. ;) Sounds like everything is coming together. I am so glad.

It makes perfect sense... Ed's back. You'll get a little more of him back every day too.

Ed will go to rehab Monday..Both rehabs accepted him..He has to have one last debridement of his leg in the OR Friday which is why he will wait until Monday... This means only 4 more full days in the hospital.. He should be home in 10-17 days
