Practically Perfect in Every Way - UPDATE-3/1 -- LINK TO TRIP REPORT!!!!

So sorry you didn't have a good week! :flower3:

Hopefully, you can get thru the next couple of weeks and just get to Disney!

I think that was a good call to cancel Biergarten & go with Kona! :thumbsup2

Enjoy your fun Saturday(s) plans!!! :goodvibes

Thanks! Today was pretty cool. :thumbsup2

Hey, soldier, see YOU in 2 1/2 weeks! Bring your mom and dad if you want to! :thumbsup2

Just could not resist on that cute photo of little Max, Tina.
I see you have a lot of Saturday plans - they sound like fun! I wish I could say we are going to "the" city, you are so lucky to live so close.
Tina, did you notice that the weather forecast is actually showing for the first day of our trip/s on accuweather?
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

That is a pretty cute picture of Max, isn't it? :goodvibes I found some random pictures on this computer from our trip and I've made such a mess with my pictures, I have no clue whether or not they're new. I think some of them are...:confused3

And yes...I know precisely what date Accuweather is up to! :lmao:

Such a cute picture of Max! :goodvibes

Enjoy both of your Saturdays. Wonderful plans. I have no plans today which is equally great except that I am spending way too much time on the DIS boards.

MUST BREAK FREE FROM THE SPELL!

Glad you decided on Kona! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I've gotta do something to keep myself occupied right now. :lmao: How's your neck, by the way?

Yes, sometimes its hard to pull yourself away, especially when there's good stuff happening on here and the servers aren't being slow. :lmao:

I'm just happy that I decided we should stick close to the resort and to MK, which is what this trip is really all about for me. :goodvibes

So sorry you didn't have a good week! :flower3:

The week, as a whole, was ok. Friday was just...ugh. Oh well.

:rotfl: Yep..and sometimes its just best to admit that you're fresh out of catchy titles.

Today was great: got my hair done with my mom, then we had lunch with my aunt and cousin, did a little shopping. My mom is really looking forward to our October trip and is even talking about staying once I leave. This would be fantastic for her and I hope she does it.

I also quickly floated resort ideas by her. She came down for a few days during our 2011 February trip at Coronado. She liked it. It was fine. Then I started to tell her all about the Beach Club. The pool. The MUCH bigger rooms. The double sinks and vanity outside the actual bathroom (a bit plus, since there will likely be three of us sharing the room). The incredibly short walk to Food and Wine, where I know my mom will want to spend the majority of her time. Well, either there or at the pool. :lmao: Now she thinks the Beach Club sounds like a great idea. :rotfl:

In other news...

This evening, we all went over to our good friends' house for dinner.

This is sort of a funny story...so I'll share it. My husband and the husband in this couple have been friends since they were in highschool. My friend's husband, Tucker, taught Spanish at my high school my senior year, right after he had graduated from college. Fast forward...I met my husband at a New Year's Even party that Tucker was also at, in the a three family house where my friend, Melissa, had once lived. Got it? Good... anyway, I then met Melissa when they started dating, not long after my husband and I got married. She and Tucker were just dating at that point and have since gone on to get married and have two beautiful children, the oldest of whom just turned two.

And you should care why? :confused3 Well... for one, this is a PRE trip report and I can post things like this because they all happened before the trip, but also because they're both really into the idea of going to Disney with us!!! :woohoo::woohoo: Not this February, obviously, but soon! We'd have a great time; they're super flexible, go with the flow people and their kids are great, too. Max loves all of them. We'd have a wonderful time. Needless to say, I'm already planning our joint trip in my mind. :lmao:

And here's a question... we went to dinner at Tucker and Melissa's house tonight and another couple who we didn't know where there. Mark mentioned that we were going to Disney in February. The woman then says, "Oh...you'll have such a good time there, you'll love it."

Really?

Will I?

Hmm...thanks for the tip! :lmao: I'm never sure how to respond. How do I explain that I've been there three times since February 2010 and that not only are we going down in February, but I'm going back in April and in October. And...am I only the one who gets annoyed talking about Disney to non-Disney people? Is that terrible of me, or what? :lmao:

Happy Superbowl Sunday, too. I know that living in CT this should be a contentious battle for loyalty between the Giants and the Pats. And I could care less. Ditto for my husband. We'll maybe watch some...but only for the commercials. :lmao:

This is what the hairdresser did to my hair today. Its the same thing she always does, but she does make it look real nice.

Your hair looks great:thumbsup2 Now, you are all ready for some great Photopass pictures.

I have a hard time listening or talking to non Disney people about Disney. I usually just keep my mouth shut and do the smile and nod.:) A few weeks ago I filled in for a co worker who went to Disney to do the marathon. Two coworkers that normally work the shift with him spent about 30 minutes talking about how crazy it was to just go to Disney to do a marathon, how expensive it was, how he was crazy he was to go once a year or more. (he usually takes his family once or twice a year) The whole time I just thought about how I wish I was there and my plans for doing a Disney half someday.

At least your lady had a nice comment. Disney is great and you will LOVE it!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

The Beach Club would be perfect for your October trip! You mentioned a third, who else is going with you? If you need a volunteer, I think I am free that weekend:)

Does the new trip with friends mean another trip this year or just an addition of cast to an already scheduled trip?

Your hair looks great:thumbsup2 Now, you are all ready for some great Photopass pictures.

Thanks...although I'd be more ready if I could have lost some weight in time. You're very brave for putting yourself out there with your weight loss ticker. I don't think I could do that.

So true. :rotfl: I will. It doesn't bother me so much when people are curious about it, but it does bother me when people start to judge. And yes, it is expensive...but I think its all about how you decide to spend your money and those are very personal decisions. For us, we don't need or want new cars, whereas some people would just never even consider driving a car that's almost ten years old. We're trying (and have been pretty sucessful) not to eat out or get take-out at all since Christmas and we're doing pretty well with that. Like I said, I'm trying to take off some weight and I really want Disney to seem like a treat, on so many levels. :goodvibes Some people shop and, like my sister-in-law, own twenty Coach bags. We all have our things.

The Beach Club would be perfect for your October trip! You mentioned a third, who else is going with you? If you need a volunteer, I think I am free that weekend:)

I know...I'm really excited that my mom is down for it and the extra cash. She's not used to spending that kind of money on a hotel room. Growing up, she always thought we never had the money for much long-distance travel. We'd go to the Cape every summer, but that was about it, aside from our two trips to Disney.

She might be bringing one of her good friends who will be retiring from thirty-plus years as a teacher this June. She's really fun, too, so it will be a blast either way.

Does the new trip with friends mean another trip this year or just an addition of cast to an already scheduled trip?

:lmao: Funny you should ask... You know I do have that AP. :lmao: And flights are cheaper in the summer... I doubt they'll go this summer. She wants to wait for her son to be a bit older and I can't say I blame her. I know a lot of folks go with babies and toddlers, but our trip when Max was three and a half was SO much better than it had been six months earlier. And, frankly, I think this trip is going to be even better. As he gets older, he just becomes easier and easier to deal with. Fewer tantrums, more reasonable about things.

I just remember last February being really disappointed that he didn't seem to quite "get it." But in July, well...he loved it!

So..um..yeah, I'm pretty much set that we'll go back this summer. Got to find out what we're getting back for a tax return. I also get an attendence bonus from work in the summer.

Its funny, though, as much as Mark can be frugal (OK...cheap :rotfl:) he still says that if we go, he wants to stay at the BC, this even after I said we go to CSR. I wonder how he'll feel after the Poly. :lmao:

First, your hair is adorable.

Second, you are not alone. I get so tired of trying to "explain myself" to non disney people. For whatever reason... people who have been to WDW ONCE think that they are done with it and will never return are the worst!!!

:rotfl2: too funny about planning the joint trip in your head. Ya know... I am always doing that. Wondering what it would be like if (insert friend or family member's name) went along.

Last, BC is so cool!!! Starting to plan a joint trip myself (luckily with another dismember) but BC is not on our list... but food and wine is...

Now she thinks the Beach Club sounds like a great idea. :rotfl:

I agree!!!

Well, that joint TR should definitely be called "It's a Small World!"

PS- Your haircut looks AWESOME!

Truthfully, I have vague plans for any number of "fantasy trips." :rotfl:

I agree!!!

Believe me, Dee...if I hear, "But I really like the Beach Club..." from Mark one more time... :rotfl: I kid. This might work out well for me in the future.

Love the haircut

Thanks, Kathy!

Your hair looks great! :thumbsup2

That'll be so much fun if y'alls friends can take a trip with y'all! When it comes to non-Disney people I sometimes just let them say what they want to say & don't say much. But, if they start trying to tell me all about Disney, then I'm like, "Oh yeah we know. We go quite often." I just can't sit there being told what to do, what not to do, etc.

I hear ya... I don't talk Disney with anyone who doesn't get it. I just say, hey we had a great time, we will probably go again someday. popcorn:: I don't press the issue. I'll keep my Disney comments to myself. :rolleyes1

Your hair looks great!! :goodvibes

:rotfl: Really, most of the time I talk to non-or-sorta-Disney people, I just keep my mouth shut as much as possible. Because I know once it opens it's really never going to shut, and I'll just talk their ears off and I'll sound like the Stacey loop! At least they had good things to say though about Disney!

I just caught up over the past two weeks Tina.

GREAT hairdo! Don't you wish you could just take your stylist with you everywhere? I can NEVER get my hair to look as good as she does. I hope you don't have that problem. :goodvibes

I am glad you switched back to Kona. I do like the biergarten, but buffets get old in my book, and I am a big "try new things" person. I have to balance old & new for DH's sake.

Your day with your mom & aunt sounds just lovely. So important to take the time so spend with family. And how awesome that your mom is keen on the BC. FUN!!!!

Your trip is getting close!

Sounds like you're going to enjoy planning a trip with friends. :yay:

Good points. I almost don't want to tell people and there are even members of my family we don't say much to. :rolleyes1

Ah...Stacey. I just assume that most people aren't that into it, BUT if they are open to it, I will talk way too much if I get started. :rotfl:

I can get my hair to look pretty great IF I'm willing to take the time, which I rarely am. By that I would mean a blow dry and then a curling iron. Yeah, that doesn't really happen, except a few times a year for super special occasions.

Personally, I don't love buffets. Too much different stuff, I think. Breakfast is OK, though, as most of the things I'll eat then are more or less the same. If that makes sense. Plus, when we're in Disneyworld, it means I can get grits and biscuits with sausage gravy. I realize that neither thing is exotic, but they are when you live this far north of the Mason-Dixon.

I hope we're able to book the BC. I'm afraid she's going to balk when she sees the bill, but maybe not...

Your trip is getting close!

Sounds like you're going to enjoy planning a trip with friends. :yay:

Yes, it is!! I'm almost the point where I can't concentrate on anything else, but that won't hit full on until next week...I hope. :lmao:

Who's at SINGLE DIGITS??? ME!!!!!! :rotfl:

But now....to do online check in or not? :confused3 Not sure. The check-in desk has never been particularly busy when I've gone, but there's always a first time for everything.

And I had thought that the weather was not going to cooperate...but things have changed. That's what fun about monitoring the forecast so far out...if you don't like what you see, just wait a while it will change. :goodvibes Looks like its going to be sunny and in the high seventies/low eighties, which is perfection in my book!

YAY SINGLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I always do online check-in, just because I can, I guess! :rotfl: I like to know that I've streamlined the process as much as possible for when I get there!

:banana::banana::banana:Single digits!!:banana::banana::banana

I haven't decided if I like the online checkin or not. Sometimes the line is longer than the regular check in desk:confused3 Also they say if you have a certain request you shouldn't do it, because it will be harder to move you around. Do you have a request for you location, I can't remember.

:dance3: :banana::banana:

Okay, I couldn't find apropriate smilies to represent us to dance together, so this will have to do!!!!! :rotfl2:

Single digits feels great, doesn't it? :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:

I always do the online-check in. Easy enough and it feels so much more real to me once its done. Two more days and I can do it for BLT too! :thumbsup2

Okay, I feel like a little more dancing .....

party: :mickeyjum:goofy: :donald: :dumbo: :tigger: :stitch: :mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for single digits!

As for online checkin... I have no words of wisdom.

And :cool1::cool1: that the weather is now looking good.
