Practical Jokes at Disney

I love to play practical jokes, especially on my wife and three kids, 12, 7 & 4. Please give me your favorite practical jokes so that I may
share them with my family too. An example of one is the age old favorite of the wife who hands her he-man husband the backpack full of, let's say women products, to go through the security check point. TIA.

I wouldn't call it a practical joke but when shopping and my DD's17 want something when they bring it over and put it in my carriage or say can I have this. I look at them like they are nuts and say something like "Who R U? Why would I buy U something. Go ask your parents, and leave me alone." If they put it in the carriage I chase them and hand it back and say " I'm sorry you put this in my carriage by mistake."
They usually hide from me for most of the rest of the shopping trip in case I so it again.

this is kinda a practical joke which I have done. Go into a store and make sure family is standing around and then ask a cm where the spongebob stuff is.

I've never done this myself, but I have it on good authority that in MGM there is an umbrella attached to a lightpole a la Gene Kelly in "Singin In the Rain." Supposedly, if you stand under the umbrella and hold the handle, water will sprinkle down on your head. I've heard a lot of people have a member of their family stand there for a "photo op" and then the "rain from above" surprises them. I plan on doing it to one of my brothers on our next trip. On our first trip, 1996, I sorta did this. I unintentionally wore a Bugs Bunny golf shirt to the Princess character breakfast at the Castle. My daughter, who was 4 at the time, was so embarassed. Every character that came to our table made fun of the shirt I was wearing. Of course, our family is also big on refilling sodas. It goes like this, DS will ask DD to fill up his soda at a restaurant, like McDonalds. She says no problem and fills his coke half way up with tea instead. This always cracks me up.

An oldie but a goodie. At the beginning of Main St., send the kids into The Confectionary and tell them that you want some bubble gum. The joke, as we all know, is that they don't sell gum in the MK. That one REALLY got my daughter.

Tell them the park is closed
Here is a more general one. You know how some places will come sing happy birthday to you when you eat, do this to them on a regular day
If you want to be mean tell them to use thier left hand to scan thier fingers when they first use the card. After that they will have to keep using them everytime they go in a park

Whenwe went into Club Cool in Epcot I said to my wife, "oh this it where they have that drink Beverly! Everyone on the DIS says how good it is!!!" If you don't know Beverly is the worst tasting soft drink ever, I made sure she took a sip before me, The look on her face was priceless!
Also while in the parks I would occassionally make farting noises, she would get so mad. (okay, I need to grow up I know) The one time we were leaving MGM waiting in line to board our bus and I did it and the girl standing in front of her turned around and gave her a nasty look. She was so mad the girl though she let one rip.

I thought about doing this, but haven't yet, how about super glueing a pin to it's holder onto one of the kids' lanyards. I bet it would work.

Oh I loved making unsuspecting people try the Beverly! One of my friends and I used to stand in Ice Station Cool commenting on how absolutely wonderful the Beverly was. We got a lot of glares from total strangers, but it always made us laugh.

I got this one from the board but it was priceless.

When we bought our mugs at AS movies I told my DH that we were going to fill our tub up with the pink lemonaide because I got so thirsty at night. I said this as we were paying for it and the look on the womans face was priceless and my DH was so embarresed....

You could really embarress your kids that way.

As a older child going to Disney with my parents years and years ago, they tired to hold my hand the whole trip long, espeically when you would hear "please take young children by the hand", etc. I was soo embarressed!

Also, they would tell me when I was young teenager, one day, boy you look pale today, and told me I look as though I lost weight and looke bad, sickly likd, then the next day, they would tell me I look like I was gaining weight and I should lay off the Twinkies, and then the next day, I was looking pale and thin again. They just laughed, and laughed at me.

My parents were silly!! We had some great times together!!

Last April 1st as we arrived at Rafiki's Planet Watch at AK......The CM announced "Welcome to MGM Studios"!

Now that I think of this it was mean...

Last Yr at CR we had 3 rooms-2 connecting. My BF and I went through my parents room into brothers room and set his mickey wake up call for 3 am. The next day he said "mickey called me wicked (we are from Boston) early this morning!". WE (BF and I) just said guess he wanted you to have an early start!

We will be at Disney in October. Please help me think of an elaborate prank. I'm thinking about incorporating mailing something to our room. Maybe telling the kids we forgot to pack their swimsuits but having them arrive via mail the same day. I know, too risky, what if they get lost or don't arrive for several days. Previosly I had thought about superglueing one of the pins scheduled to be traded onto the kid's lanyards. Ehh. Only so so. I could try something nice like packing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eat in the park only to show up for our ADR at Chef Mickey's. The trouble with this is that they know we always eat there at least once a trip, no big deal.

Kids are 12 - girl, 7 - boy and 4 - boy.

Funny, we have an 11yo, 6yo a 2yo (boy, girl, girl). That middle of the night Mickey wake up would be funny with one of the kids...unfortunately I'm the only one who ever seems to hear the wake up call.

We once drove 3 hours towards WDW without telling our ds where we were going...
