PPO BOG really worth it?

I have never understood the mindset of whoever is in charge of making decisions for this restaurant. What a wasted opportunity! They knew how to manage CRT and CP. They have a CS restaurant that folks treat like an attraction, and they squander this opportunity. Yet they add an EMM feature that they charge so people can enter early, and then can eat at a different restaurant. Ridiculous!

Yeah. It's crazy.

My basic attitude, at this point, is if they cared, they could do something about it. The last menu change made it clear they're raving lunatics or there's something else going on we just don't see. If that's how they want to play it, though, there is nothing on the average visitor that forces them to play by what the rules should be in a sane and orderly world. A Mickey Straw for a party of 10 are within the ruleset that Disney has created and condoned.

Used to be I could always say .... there is a reason for what they are doing, but in this case it is just plain stupid business. Each time I think they are going to fix it, they just get more stupid. They waste time worrying about overpriced PinQuests but have a venue made to roll in the money ............ crickets.

If they want to keep lunch QS then make breakfast a legit Prix Fixe (everyone must pay) with a lowered price. I guarantee the profits will far exceed whatever breakeven they have ... if they are lucky.

My opinion: They built too big. They should have skipped the irrelevant Rose Gallery, put a smaller library there. Figure another way to "display" Belle & the Beast .... wait how about make it TS three meals a day with a real M&G with Belle/Beast in the "library" but make it something else, like the outdoor patio, how pretty. Guaranteed booked non-stop. (and no it doesn't matter about Belle's cottage; just like Cinderella is at CRT and PFH, side by side.)

We did a PPO BOG for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. The experience of walking down a nearly empty Main Street and taking tons of great pictures was almost worth it in itself. We also weren't worried about getting out of the restaurant by park opening due to us having multiple MK days plan.

Is the food worth the price? Absolutely not, but that's no different then any Disney restaurant. It's all about the experience IMO, and to my family it was definitely worth it.

They had the opportunity to use the space for the EMM. All they needed to do was to use one room for the event, hold guests back completely from lining up at the Mine train.

We did a PPO BOG in August and it was really worth it for us, we enjoyed our breakfast and we were able to get on 7DMT at 8:50, we also were able to do PP and a couple other rides before the crowds hit. I think it is worth it for sure!

I was skeptical before we did our first PPO. a) we're not what you'd call an early morning family, b) we've eaten lunch there in the past and it was just OK, and c) we already had a FP for 7dmt so it really wasn't a priority. What drove us to try it was the fact that we'd never done it before and we had free dining. I'd never pay OOP with those prices for that breakfast, but on the DDP it was great. Turns out it was one of our best times of the trip. Getting in early was really cool and the food was actually good. We had an 8:20 resv on a 9 am opening day. They let us in a little before 8am so we had time to walk around and had our food before our actual resv time (we pre ordered). Plenty of time to relax while we ate. The only ride running before opening was 7dmt, but we got a lot done before any real crowds showed up. We went to 7d first then hit PP (first family on), HM, speedway, Astro orbiter, space mountain, and I think dumbo. All before 10-1030 if I remember correctly. Worth it for us under those circumstances, but you must weigh your options.
