TPs is driving me a little crazy. We have a PPO at BOG 8am and I'm telling it the park doesn't open until 9am, but it keeps putting in a 45 minute wait for 7DMT so I'm not getting to my second attraction until almost 10am! We are only going to hop on this in the morning on day 1 if we can wait in the line and get on before rope drop. Otherwise we will FP on day 2 or later in the day. Is the TP being accurate in this case? Would we be waiting for 45 minutes after our breakfast? I'm trying to plan 2 scenarios in case the park hours change (which is probable, I know, so I can't be eating 45 minutes of time on the TP either way!)

The line does reach 30-45 minutes rather quickly when the park opens. Being at BOG, and if you are out of there by 9 a.m, you should be fine. Another thing to keep in mind, their might be the Early Morning Magic or Extra Magic Hours on that day. Those two scenarios are the only way that people will be able to ride it before the official 9 a.m. opening time. I have also not done the BOG breakfast. Is it possible to be out of there within an hour? Whenever I have had lunch or dinner there, I seem to stay longer than an hour.

I read on a thread here that with the new "in park" welcome show people are getting back to 7DMT much faster than when the show was held outside the gates.
In the same thread it shows picutres of people leaving BOG around 8:50 (for 9a opening), being led my CMs into the FP lane at 7DMT for a ride before the masses on Main St. arrive.

I would just leave 7DMT off your TP list, just assume you will ride it before the park opens, and move on to your next attraction.

Yep. Just leave it off your TP list (and make sure you get there BEFORE the RD crowds get there!!). It will develop to 45 mins extremely quickly.

If they let you in before rope drop (on regular non early entry days, they usually do), then no, you'd be in and out in more like 10 mins.

You should have no problem finishing breakfast by 8:40 or so -- especially if you pre-order. We did BOG PPO breakfast twice on our recent trip and made sure we were done and outside by that time both days. On one day, they let us on to 7DMT at 8:50, and we got to ride 4 times before the rope drop folks made it. The other day, they didn't let us on until around 8:55, and we still got to ride twice before rope drop folks made it over. Both days we had moved on to our next attraction by about 9:02 AM -- and both days the line for 7DMT was wrapped all the way back to Dumbo area by that time. As long as you're in line before the park opens, you should have no problem getting at least one ride in quite quickly.

I love the long lines at 7DMT. The ride itself is kind of a joke for the wait. While the herds are there, I am hammering out 7-8 other rides. Keeps me from being captured within the madness.

Put it in as a fast pass, since the BOG PPO should be a short line, and it has us finished at 9:03.

Our plan is to take our time at BOG 8-8:40, then head to 7D. If the crowds have already been released or if we need more time eating, we will head to PP instead, with WtP as backup if that one is over 20 minutes.

good plan! I think we will do the same.

Last week I had a reservation at BOG for 850. We got seated at 820 and were done eating around 855. We promptly went to 7DMT and rode it. We got off the ride shortly after 9 and the wait was already 45 minutes. We had a FP scheduled for later in the trip just in case we weren't able to get PPO.
