Pph and meal reservation questions

We are going for the half marathon in September, and the only opening was at PPH Club level. I was told it was not like WDW club level, and to expect only cheese and crackers. Can someone confirm this? It will be three adults, will the room be large enough for 3? I cannot find much information on these rooms or the hotel.

Should we make dinng reservations? Since it was difficult to get room reservations, will it be hard to get a table without a reservation? It has been so long since we have been to DL, we go to WDW every 6-8 weeks, so we know what to do there, just a little lost in planning for DL.

I don't know about pph but getting adrs is much much easier at DL vs WDW. Often times you can get a table at an off peak time just a few days ahead (like 2:00). Being Labor Day, it will be busier but if you book your reservations now, you shouldn't have too many if any issues.

Agreed. Since it's Labor Day weekend, reservations might be a good idea.

The room will be plenty big enough, but don't count on concierge being "meals". We like it for quicky breakfast (bagels and cream cheese and fruit) and beverages, but PPH's horderves are nothing special (a couple my children found inedible). The desserts in the evening are fantastic, but they go fast. For us the best thing about PPH concierge is the cabana room. I love the full private dining table for breakfast or evening drinks.

Adding- GCH's concierge is infinitely better, but then the price makes it only a convenience not a money saver.

Thanks, we wanted GCH, but it was booked. The ONLY room available was PPH CL so we took it. Should we go upper floor for view or lower floor for pool. How do you tell if you have a view room, Ressies just says CL room.

It's not cheese and crackers. I mean, there might BE cheese and crackers there, but that's not all.

Nice espresso machine using pods for the morning, bagels, toppings for that, fruit (you can pay a LOT in the parks for fruit, so having it included in concierge is a real treat), bottled waters, sodas, etc etc. They have something cheese and crackery for lunchtime-ish, and again, coffee, espresso, sodas, bottled waters, etc. Each night they had a hot dish that was appetizer-ish but could be a meal, too. Only one night were we able to partake when they made vegetarian egg rolls, and they were absolutely scrumptious. I think I gained 5 of the pounds I've lost just on those egg rolls. So good. And beer/wine, dessert stuff...

Basically, concierge is what you make of it. If you're a big park person and you won't BE at the lounge during the morning, day, or evening, you're not going to see much food out. But if you try to make it back for breaks, then you'll see the food.

don't forget free rentals of movies to play on the DVD player in your room, and they'll make arrangements for you if you need arrangements.

We had booked a cabana room (it's on the level of the pool deck) but the pool was being worked on so we were bumped to a suite. Smaller suite, but suite all the same.

What is the cabana room? I reserved PPH CL for Tink weekend. I have never stayed onsite.
Any pointers would be great!!
