POWERMAT stuff for your IPOD

does anyone have the powermat and its accessories to power your ipods ??
I have seen ads on these things but don't know anyone that actually has them ... anyone using them ... worth the money ??

We got one as a gift. The box makes it look like there are no wires, and all you have to do is put your device on the mat, however this isn't the case. You have to have the adapter (one for each device) and the right connector (connecting the adapter to the device). The box should come with one adapter, but if you plan on using it for more than one device at a time, you'll need to get more adapters.

I use it for travel, and find it works well.

I wouldn't have bought it, but it was a nice gift.

I have a Powermat and the iPhone charging accessory. As the PP said, it is not entirely wireless - think of it more as a charging station that is plugged into the wall. Instad of having to search for and plug in the cord each time I want to charge my iPhone, I just put my iPhone into the charging accessory (which is a little plastic case that has a magnetized area on the back)and put it on top of the Powermat and it charges without being plugged in - because the charging accessory magnetically holds to the Powermat and that is how it is charged. It charges quickly, too.

I use it at home and it comes with a set of adapter plugs, one of which fits my cell phone. It's not more or less convenient than the charging station I had previously, with one plugged in adapter for each device - but it's easier because I can just put my iPhone down and make sure it "hits" the magnetic part. I don't have to fish around and plug something in.

And I use it when I travel, too, instead of taking a power cord and charger for each phone and device. The Powermat does both of mine with each the magenetic option or the adapter.
