Potholder Purses

I have 2 Vera's as does DD. I really did not like them until I went in a Vera Bradley store. Once you get to "know them" you see what the rage is all about. Mine are NOT large huge ones (Little Betsy and Molly). The price is quite reasonable too!

I used to think "little old lady bags" too ;) . I was wrong!

DD's "Molly" bag in "citrus" is adorable with little elephants around the bottom. :)

i saw them in another thread and just can't get used to them. I too think they are ugly, but i'm a COACH gal...sooo i can't compare :teeth:

i like the pot holder reference ::yes:: that's very true!

.

They DO look like old lady bags. Or quilts. I just don't get them.

I do admit to loving Coach hand bags.
I'm with Miss J. I think they are really well let's just say not my style.

I feel the same about Dooney & Burke.

But I love coach :thumbsup2

Yup :teeth: the minute my mother bought one I knew i would never own a Vera Bradley bag.

I fell in love with them years ago when Princess Di carried them b4 she was married. She is still the epitome of style for me, Lord rest her soul. I never could afford one though, and when my DH graduated from business school where we dirt poor, he bought me one as a "graduation" gift. I was so proud of that bag and used it until the bottom was frayed and threadbare. It's still in my memory box. :)

I think they are hideous too. I don't like most designer bags at all.

VB's are hugely popular in this part of VA at the moment. I have a "Maggie B" which is similar in style and fabric to a Vera Bradley. It's bright pink with palm trees and flamingos, perfect for summer. I must put it into retirement now that fall is here!

I didn't care for the VB/quilted look at first, but it's grown on me.

You can like coach and vb :confused3

I prefer coach pocketbooks and vb totes and wristlets. I adore my Villagers. They are sturdy, machine washable, durable, and hold my ten tons of school books and Paraphernalia while still being comfortable to lug around because of the quilting. I have yet to have a coach tote that size that withstands as well and is that comfortable to lug around. Not to mention the price is a lot better.

I don't like them. I know some who do though. Moms seem to like them because they are washable so if a sippy cup spills, just throw it in the wash. My current purse was bought on clearance at Old Navy for $3.00 so what do I know. :)

I am a lucky man.

I married one of the few women in the world that hates shoes and purses.
:rotfl:

I don't like purses, perfume, flowers, shoes, or spend any money getting my hair done...

:tinker: it's all about the tink collection for me

on topic...my mom has one and it fits her style. I don't hate them.

I love mine. They are light weight and washable. I'm not into purses but love these.

That's me. :teeth: I think they are pretty and feminine. I have two. :teeth:

That's fine by me! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :lmao: :lmao:

This old bag lady was carded for buying beer for her DH this morning! And I was carrying the purse! :rotfl2: Guess I'm not that old! :teeth:

They are REALLY big in middle/high/ and college here. My DD is 11, not a granny at all!

I have actually had more positive comments about my 2 Vera's than I ever had with my Coach! :rotfl:

My neighbor's DD is in college and they're really big at her school. She bought her first one recently and showed it to me. :teeth: Her father says that they look like diaper bags. :teeth:

Well, of course, I totally agree with you Bibbidi! DD is a middle schooler who has 3 of them and my niece in HS carries them also. I'm at the college almost daily and the girl students (and a few guys!) often make positive comments about my VBs.
I also bought my mom one and she is 68yo. She loves it but she also has an autograph book at WDW! :p :rotfl:
