Potential problem for 4th Rotating Fastpass

If you can get any fastpass with the 4th rotating fastpass, then people might only schedule the 1 top tier fastpass and not the 2 other second tier fastpasses.

Or, if they are forced to schedule the 2 other 2nd tier fastpasses, then they might try to cancel the 2 second tier fastpasses when at the parks to get access to the 4th rotating fastpass.

You have to use 3 to get a fourth so cancelling two or not making 2 won't help or matter.

Three shall be the number of the counting on the number of the counting shall be three.

Well played:rotfl2:

That's the best answer I've seen. :rotfl2:
I wonder how many people are scratching their head?

Like PP said, that scenario can't happen. All 3 need to be used as of now.

The most likely problem with the 4th FP is people booking 9-10, 10-11 and 11-12 in an attempt to get extra FP later. The stand by lines could start getting backed up even earlier if people change their touring styles and use the FP in the morning. We don't know yet if the extra FP will be a big enough carrot to get enough people to do that, hopefully not.

with Disney's IT track record, I think that is the least of the programming that will be happening...(checking to see if 3 advanced fastpasses were used).
I'll believe that "checking" when I see it.

I wonder if you will have to use them, not just let them expire. Will they be making people sit through Captain EO?

I had a chance to see my "master" screen last week while a cast member was helping me the one time all week that the system as being stupid. He system does show whether you used a Fastpass or let in expire. As a matter of fact, it says "EXPIRED" in bright red.

So, they are tracking use versus expiration right now.

I agree. I plan to use all of my FPs when the time comes, but stuff comes up. We have small children, they could be napping or we could get stuck longer than expected at lunch, etc. While we would try to change the times, that doesn't always work. It might expire. It doesn't seem fair to penalize someone because the FP expired.

If you miss your Fastpass, it opens it back up to change it to a different available time and attraction. We had Peter Pan set but missed it due to the tour we were doing and several hours after the expiration time, we changed it to a new ride.

I think what's really going to be interesting is to see what this does to those who want to use a FP for Wishes. How good is that 4th FP if you can't book it till after Wishes?

I would so rather see them just give a 4th FP, period. Why the only after you've used your 3 deal?

Because they don't have enough decent ones to consistently give everyone 4. Subject to availability is much easier for them, and they're likely being booked by people who are more likely to use them (because they're being booked right before they'll be used) instead of people booking them just because they can.

I would have to say that you would see me walking right through the theater to the exit doors:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think she means, give them a 4th rotating fastpass, but let them use it anytime, as long as its not within x hours of the advanced 3.
I agree...they need to do that and hopefully will. That will result in not punishing people who schedule fastpasses later in the day or at night.

Well, Disney is the one forcing folks to pick 3. You should be able to just book one if you only want one. They're trying to force distribution to less popular attractions (instead of building new popular ones.....grumble grumble). But yes, I agree, 4 is a much better deal than 3, and hopefully this new "4th after 3 used" is just a way to test how well they can bear giving everyone 4. I agree that giving a 4th after 3 used just ends up "punishing" those that drag themselves to ripe drop or park hop; thought part of the idea was (ostensibly) to level the playing field for top attractions. Fingers crossed we get 4--one way or another--this fall.

If this does happen everyone will try and get 9-10 10-11 and 11-12. Can you imagine the size of the queue at the kiosks at 11.15ish.:lmao:

But "big brother" is monitoring your magic band and will KNOW if you didn't stay for the entire show! :rotfl2: You WILL eat your vegetables and you WILL watch Captain EO! :rotfl:

I know they've mentioned that they're looking to do this, but has this actually been put into place yet? (The getting more than 3 FP)

When I did this in January, one of my three DHS passes had been unused, but had expired. I was still able to get a fourth pass that evening at MK.

So this was how it had worked during the early test. No way to be sure that's still how it will work.
