Potential Closures

Planning a trip next September. I know Mummy should be just reopening after a refurbishment. But about how early can I expect to know what if anything would be down when we're there, and a bonus question if anyone could possibly take a guess, what rides are the most likely to be closed for refurbishment during that time?

Major refurbs like they are doing for the Mummy (track replacement) doesn't happen very often. Coasters need their tracks redone about once every 20 years (Hulk had it's done a few years back, Dragon Challenge was replaced by Hagrids after ~20 years and the track had run its course). So coaster-wise you are likely safe as their other coasters aren't close to needing a major refurb.

This coupled with them starting up HHN in September and I'd highly doubt they'd be doing a major refurb and closing a major attraction around that period. Major refurbs usually start in the slower period just after New Years (and the water rides get a yearly refurb in the Jan/Feb period too).

All just a guess though

My guess is one of the water rides at IOA. Either Dudley or Popeye.

I mean right now they have a couple of things closed. Caro-Seuss-el is down. Not a dealbreaker obviously.

Ha! I have to experience it at least once. I have to see it with my own eyes.
I feel the same. Don't have high expectations for it but curious how bad it is. Glad with the meetup I should be able to ride it without having to worry about much of any wait so won't feel like a waste of time.

I thought the same. With no line at the December 2020 meet up, it was still a waste of time.

Ya they missed on this one. It should have been a coaster based on the parking garage drift event in Tokyo Drift.
A car themed coaster would be good for it, but honestly I think the perfect ride system for it would have been something like Radiator Springs Racers. Can do a darkride portion setting up a story that culminates in a drag race with another car. A clone of RSR with a F&F overlay would be great.

They just need to make it like Bourne Stuntacular, that's all they have to do.

Is Poisedon's fury permanently closed? I know that if it is it's unofficial as of now, but what do people here think? If so there's not much purpose in keeping the lost continent area as it is just for the talking fountain

I think it said they were renovating it when I walked past it last week.
