Potential Add On

With all of the talk about it being difficult to book into VWL for an early Dec trip, I'm seriously considering a add on to our current contract so I could utilize the 11 month window. We bought 210 pts at SSR, Feb Use Year. Since I only want a small add-on (50 pts), how would it work booking reservations at the 11 month window. Can I use points from my SSR contract to come up with the total number needed? Do you transfer points before you try to book a reservation? Also, how difficult is it to actually get an add on at VWL.

We asked our guide about an add on at VWL in March '04 and sometime in June '04, the points became available for us to buy. We have a March use year.

A 50 point add on gives you the 11 month booking window at VWL for as many points as you have AT the VWL. If you have them banked or want to borrow, that would mean in most cases a 150 point stay every 3 years. Now there's a way to book the dates so you have the advantage of a 4th years worth of points, and someone will perhaps mention that, but it's a very particular case. If you want to use your SSR points, they can be used at the 7 month window, and for whatever is available at that time. You can't book at VWL with the SSR points before the 7 month window.
