Jud.....great story I had the opposite happen to me at a 2010 MNSSHP. Some very nice ladies in the roped off handicapped section saw my mom and son and I being scooted out of the way by the CM's to put up the parade ropes. I thought we had a great place to stand but we were in the way. Well these nice ladies invited us under the rope to be with them and we had a great view. I don't think I've ever thanked anyone so much before.

Nice! So much of the magic comes from other guests sharing the Disney spirit.

In my early days, I did not do parades, shows, and before Illuminations, seldom bothered with any serious attention to the pyrotechnic displays.

So, one evening, I was working my way through the crowds which had long since started to claim spots for watching the evenings fireworks over the castle. As they began, I was making the crossing that is marked out by tape on the ground between the Ice Cream place and Casey's. Struck by the display, I stopped to look, not realizing that this was a no-no, and was there for what I know now was a rudely long time. A CM came over and told me I had to move or be outside the tape, so I quickly- and with some embarrassment, looked at the ground, saw the tape, and also saw a spot on the castle side that had more than enough room for me to step into without disturbing anyone, now that I had become sensitized to that matter.

The downside: it was behind a very tall man. I am 6 feet, and I was looking at his shoulder blades!

[Okay, I miss it by 1/4 inch.]

Almost immediately, he turned, having been drawn by the commotion, smiled, took me by the shoulders, and guided me around to be in front of him! This despite that fact that he was in his family group!

That was one of my earliest magic moments: it's how we treat each other.

:)

You're so welcome! I will vicariously travel to WDW through your pictures when you return! Since you've been many times before you can probably just "wing it", right?

Excited for you and your family!!!

What a heart-warming story Jud! I love reading about these kinds of experiences (and it's helping soothe my immense desire to return to WDW ASAP!)

Love your story, Jud.... Is it me.. or is it just being there that makes you want to spread some pixie dust around to other guests... :flower3:
