Potc Soaked!!!

Just have to thank this thread. We were at the head of the line on a cold day at MK, the CM told us to fill the first two rows, and I specifically asked if we could take the last two, he said sure and the kids behind us were excited that they would be in the front. Hit that big drop in the dark and we could hear those kids from the front of the boat yelling, "OMG! We got drenched!". My wife high-fived me for my "insider" knowledge.

I also have to thank this thread. I dropped a POTC fastpass next week for haunted mansion. Look forward to seeing it after the refurb. :)

We were at the MVMCP in December on a cool Sunday evening. It was me, my 2 sons, and their Godmother, who was with us for her very first visit to MK. We were in the front row and got drenched! I mentioned it to the ride attendant who kindly told me that there were signs indicating that we may get wet. I've been on the ride enough times to know that this was not the expectation on the ride and asked to speak to a manager. She was talking to an older couple whose camera got soaked on the ride before us. When I told her what happened and that we were too wet to stay for the rest of the party (3 hours left) she offered to help us. She filled out 8 "no strings attached" slips for our group for new pants and sweatshirts. I was so grateful since it was our only night in MK and it was going to the 40's that night. We missed Wishes while shopping, but we got to enjoy the parade. I was happy how they took care of our situation.

Just call it "Pirates of the Kali River Rapids." Lots cheaper that way...

We were in the front row of a pretty empty boat this week. Barely got "misted". We are obviously in the minority, maybe less weight in the boat helped?

Beccause I'm going next week and I would have scheduled my trip differently if a refurb of one of my favorite rides was planned. That's why they announce refurbs well in advance.
They don't announce most refurbs far enough in advance to effect most people's trip.
At this point they really need 60 days notice to clear people who already booked fast pass without causing them to get upset

I think refurb starts May 11th according Magic Kingdom Calender. I found out looking at the attraction hours for May 13th the day I am going and said it was closed for refurb.
