POTC - do you think this is really going to happen?!!

So Trey can I look forward to an extensive DLP planning guide???
I'll be going in August and I'd love to hear your comparisons between the parks.

Back on topic.....
I've heard that because the DLP version of POTC is more advanced than the US version, the upgrades can be made more easily. Thus no need to shut the ride down for an extended period of time.

I will see what I can cook up. ;)

One thing I do not like is the way the Disney hotels handle park admission at DLP. Essentially you pay for your park admission as part of the hotel price. So right now my plan is to visit DLP on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday and will stay three nights. In between I will be doing business in Paris and staying in Paris. I am booked at Newport Bay for two nights and then Santa Fe for one night later in the week. But I am essentially paying for five days of park admission as part of my hotel price for three nights with a split in between. This is definitely not Magic Your Way. It is Magic Their Way.

It should be completed by the end of May, so hopefully you'll get to ride it :wizard: Look forward to hearing what you think of the DLP version - it's supposedly on a par with the DL one :goodvibes

Bexx, I have been riding the DL version since I was 5 years old, and I can assure you that even in its current state, the DLRP version is FAR superior to even the DL version!

The flow of the attraction from the upper level to the lower level is more cohesive, and there is much more of a storyline in Paris. With the changes that we have seen in the American versions, the Paris version will be outstanding.

ah, but you have not been reading 'bavaria's guide to DLRP' then....

book room only rates on www.expedia.de, which even allows Americans to book.

Then buy a ticket as YOU want - AP, day pass, etc

Well, I missed that. One of the disadvantages of being a first timer. Also, I was under time pressure because it was clear the hotels were filling and I did not want to take any more time to come back here and ask questions. So it will cost me a bit more. I'll know better next time. ;) Thanks.

But the days on your tickets that you don't use do not expire right after you leave! They are valid for some months (I think). And if you can't use them, you can still sell them on Ebay. :thumbsup2

Wow! Not one person after 30+ posts is acting like these changes will bring about the end of civilization as we know it.

And on another DLP forum on another site, the attacks started with the second post. Of course, one quickly notices that different boards have different feels to them. Although it would have been nice to see how Paris's was done originally, I'm not too sussed about it. You never know what you will find anyway. My first real ride at DL was 1969, but I first rode it virtually with Uncle Walt on his Sunday night TV show. The lights they used were so bright that I thought the first part of the ride was outside.

A bientot.
