According to dlp.info, there was this little snippet of information in Envie+ about our POTC ride ....

While waiting for May, come to rediscover attraction Pirates of the Caribbean with the Disneyland® Park in its revisited version: one better sound, of new effects special, and more characters, directly inspired by the film…

:yay:

Yes, its been confirmed, and work has already begun in the attraction.

Music from the film will be featured in the rides's soundtrack, along with new effects and new Jack Sparrow animatronics.

It will be finished by late May.

does that mean that it will be closed when i go in two days!! yipeee!!

Ooh thank you Becky and Tom! :yay:

The addition of Jack Sparrow to WDW's POTC is brilliant and as DLRP's POTC is even better then this is fabulous news!!! :cheer2: pirate: :cheer2: pirate: :cheer2:

WOW ! That is fantastic news....I think that will swing it for me to book a quickie trip before my APs expire in October!

:woohoo: great news and thanks for the initial heads-up Becky :goodvibes

as far as i'm aware the ride isn't closing. It isn't on any of the rehad lists! The only thing I can think of is that out of park hours is there plan. Sounds Like DLRP is oing in the right direction now :):cool1:

When I went on the POTC ride in April I thought it was fantastic especially as there was so much attention to detail...some of those Animatronics are just too realistic! :)

I can't wait for them to make it even more exciting!

My only suggestion is that I think there should be a long drop as soon as you pass through the smoke curtain unlike the one in Disneyland Anaheim where you just continue around into the next scene.

I'm always impressed by anyone who can remember the sequences of the ride and compare the versions from each park. DLP pirates is the one I know best, and I've been on it a fair few times, but I still couldn't tell you the order things happen in!! Still, it keeps it new and exciting for me...!! :rotfl:

Well I've never actually been to any other Disneyland Park and Disneyland Paris was my first ever trip this April so I was only comparing video clips posted on YouTube of the POTC ride in Disneyland Anaheim :rotfl:

It's just that the smoke screen give you this feeling that something bad is going to happen after you've passed through and it doesn't. It would be cool if you passed through and found yourself at the top of a 30ft water flume lol

same here, I was watching the DVD extra on POTC about the ride a Anaheim, and a bit of the ride I said to DBF they don't have that bit at DLRP, well last month when we went on the ride I noticed they did have it on the DLRP ride.:rotfl:

I find everytime I ride POTC I always seem to spot something I haven't noticed before! :rotfl: I prefer to think it's Disney magic pixiedust: rather than my poor eyesight and equally failing memory! :rotfl2:

off cause it is Disney Magic:wizard:

Even cynical DBF said that the work men getting ready for 1st April during our trip was just for show as Disney Magic did it all.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! No big drops on POTC, please.
The drops that are on the ride already are about as much as I can bear. Anything higher and I wouldn't be able to ride and it's my faaaaaaaaaaaaaavourite.pirate: pirate: pirate:

Are toddlers allowed on potc? My dd will be 19 months when we go in june, just wondered if the drops would be too much for her??
thanks
