"It seems certain that the premiere of the third Pirates movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At Worlds End, will be held at Disneyland on Saturday, May 19, 2007. According to a notice posted on the Disneyland Web site, Disneyland will open at 6:30 a.m. that day, and close early at 5:00 p.m. Disney's California Adventure will operate on an extended schedule, opening at 10:00 a.m. and closing at 11:00 p.m." according to Mouseplanet today.

So, we were planning a girl's weekend from AZ that weekend. For those that were there for either of the other premiers, is it even worth going or is it way too busy & hectic to be worth the drive?? I figure it is going to be way busy, but it is teh best date for the majority of the girls. Not to mention what CA will be like after 5:00..... That on top of having to to buy a blockout day sorta makes me think we better reschedule.

Any experience & recommendations??

If your main focus is to be a part of somthing or see stars, and just be ingulfed in hollywood then I definantly recomend going. If your just going for one day and you just wanna catch the rides and shows stay away......far far away. There will be no parades no fireworks no fantasmic that day. And crowds will be insane. But if you can deal with that and have extra days to do rides and shows then go for it. I mean this could be the last time somthing like this happens at DL for a while. (Pirates 4?)

It is definately worth going! I went last year and had so much fun, it is really crazy though so be prepared. People start lining up wayyyyy early. I was first in line at 3am and got to open the park it was so cool. I staked out my spot on main street and waited alllll day. I suggest that you bring a group of people or make friends with the people around you so that you can go to the bathroom or get food. People will slowly inch up everytime you leave so beware. Bring sunscreen, snacks, games, cards, music, sunglasses, hat, and something to sit on like a blanket or a towel. Also make sure that you dress like a pirate or having something pirate related on because it will make you more noticable. Bring lots of film and something for stars to autograph. I would not suggest trying to bring a sign because most of them were taken away. I think that it was a once in a lifetime experience that I would recommend, but just beware that when the stars come people will get rude and push you like crazy. If you are willing to wait odds are it will pay off. I got Johnnys, Orlandos, Jerry Bruckheimer, the writers, and many other autographs. Also if you go make sure you know the stars real names so that you are not calling them by their character name because they wont respond. Good luck and have fun!pirate:
