Postcards/Mail at the resorts?

It's not as easy to get mail at a resort as it is to send it--in January, my Grandma sent us something Express Mail on property, and it was in Orlando from WV the next day, but we had to go to the Lake Buena Vista Post Office to pick it up--no signature required or anything, but we still had to go in person. If you're just sending regular old mail, you're better off to call your actual resort and get the actual address, and inquire as to the process. We've been successful, and it can be done, just give yourself a little extra time.

If you look in the binder on the desk in the rooms that has all the hotel information, there is usually stationary and postcards in there... I loved the stationary and postcards so much from the GF rooms, that I wanted to buy some... but its not available for purchase so the concierge had a BUNCH extra sent to our room!

I just found an application for my Android phone. It is called Touchnote. You can send your own picture as a post card $1.49 including postage(1st one is free!) and it goes to a physical address, not email. I have not tried it yet but will try it before our trip with the free one and check the quality before sending them from Disney.
I have not checked to see if it is available for the iPhone, but there may be something out there if you have the iPhone.
Has anyone out there used this?

Ok...last week when I posted this I took a picture using this application and sent it to myself. The card arrived yesterday (1 week, not bad) and it is really nice. It was laminated and good quality. It was even dated and a small map picture of where the photo was taken. I guess that is because the gps application on my phone is on. The post mark was Trenton, NJ. I am excited and will use this application while on vacation to send a post card of us in Disney and not just a Disney post card.
