Postcard rate/Polynesian/DU

Hi. I received a postcard yesterday advertising deluxe hotels beginning at $109. We have reservations at the Polynesian for 7 nights with check in on Jan. 31st. I've been anxious about waiting for the AP rates and was delighted to get the postcard. I have no idea why I got the postcard. I did sign up for newsletters at disneyworld.com, took a survey upon exiting the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party last year, I was a Disney Club member but did not get the Disney Visa. So I'm afraid I can't shed any light as to why I finally got a postcard! I truly wish I could be more helpful with that mystery.

Anyhow...we have our rooms booked through Dreams Unlimited. Upon getting the postcard, I emailed our DU agent. He emailed back very quickly with the good news. Yes, we got the postcard rate! We were booked at Poly in 2 rooms/garden view (in-laws are traveling with us) at the AAA discount rate of $283/night. The postcard rate brought us to $199.50, tax included.

Congrats NicsMom1500, that's a great rate. We stayed at the Poly about 5 years ago with an AP rate of $189 before tax.
