Postcard Exchange sent/received

Yesterday, I received another envelope with postcards, from the UK, and it was from.... (now it starts to get embarassing) Amazing Grace? Is that possible? I know she has 4 kids, will get a dog when they come back from ther vacation to Florida, ... But I can't remember the nickname. This really is a sign I'm getting old.

I will check this evening (or call my mom and ask to look on the cards/ envelope!) and post it again tomorrow!

Anyways, it was a nice card with a building, a calendar-card for 2007 and one of the better jokes about the English manners. I was :rotfl:

Thank you very much for the cards!!!!

You got it right Sandra.. it was Sam (Amazing-Grace);) So, you're not so old afterall:lmao:

I should have read the previous posts first, because then I would have seen that is was Sam, and the cards were about Gloucester. And the joke, of course!

You did well regardless Sandra;)

I received some beautiful postcards and a guide for a yearly festival from Somerset, England. Add one more place to my growing list of places I will dream of visiting! Thank you YYX99 for the wonderful postcards.

I just finished buying my postcards last night. The places I normally get them have stopped selling them for some reason, so I had to search a little to find some. I will get them in the mail by tomorrow.

Only two of the 5 that I sent have made it to their desinations. I hope they arrive soon.

One of those is away until 28th.. so no doubt she will post when she gets back.

But other than that I make it 3 of your 5 that have been received..

recieved first postcards from Mickyfan2, really lovely postcards depicting the amish villagers that are to be found around Lancaster.

daughter loved reading about them and the leaflets that also came with the postcards.

Thanks

Thought I'd already posted this, but I don't seem to be able to find it when I had a quick search..

My apologies for that Colleen:upsidedow

No problem. I am glad that they liked everything. That makes 3 arrivals, one on vacation and one AWOL.

AWOL.. should have arrived tho... maybe they just haven't got around to posting about it yet.

Still have a few people who've yet to get their postcards in the mail and most of the Children have yet to get theirs in the mail too:worried:

Two Adults and one Child are away on holidays and will post on their return.

Please try to get your cards in the mail by Friday and please post here when you do.

There should also be some who have received at least one envelope and have not acknowledged receiving them:worried:

One last bump before I hit the sack:banana:

I will copy the names and adresses here at work before I leave so that I can mail to 3 people. I still have to buy cards for the fourth one, hope to have it done before the end of the week, life is so hectic at work. I have late meetings, and lunch meetings, and because of that I can't go to the center of Brussels to get the *censored by myself* postcards :)

But I'm working on it!
(BTW, I'm in a meeting now, they all think I'm working on the project, bwahahaha!)

Mine and Stacey's are on their way, so they should arrive by Friday hopefully.

Stacey also received 3 cards from Holly (CuteHolly) :goodvibes

Gloucester Cathedral
Beatrix Potterand it was the first postcard she has ever written.
A funny one about the British people being warmer :rotfl:

She says thank you very much and has a question--you play football, is that soccer?

Thank you Holly
