Okay - so we ate here a couple of times & it's funny how the ONLY food picture I have is of the Figaro Fries!!!

mmmm ..... that makes me ready for the next trip!!!

Brings me to breakfast at Kona Cafe'

DH, DD & I all had the Tonga Toast! (it's what we came for, right)

Now I am quite certain this is not the first, nor will it be the last, photo of Tonga Toast on this thread ..... but for those of you who may not have had it, it certainly bears repeating!!!

DS had the Minnie's French Toast from the kids menu

On to the "Food & Fun Center" of the Contemporary Resort ..... although, I must advise the "fun" portion has been relocated to the Concourse area!

DS & DH both had the cheeseburger

DD had the kids Hot Dog

I had the Chicken Bacon Melt Sandwich Basket

Is the Tonga Toast very sweet? Can they make it without all that sugar all over it?

OMG - this is the LAST meal we had at Disney last week. It's so sad .... after this, I'm out of food photos (from the most recent trip anyway)!

Here's the bread & sauce to start the meal

mmmmmmmm ..... yummmmmm

DD & DS both got the "Pirate Punch" (but DD had lemonade & DS had coke)
These are pics both with & without flash (to see the "glow" effect of Tink & Captain Hook)

(these were $5.99 each but we still have the photos & glowing clip-on characters, so it's not too bad really)

DD's Sliced Apples as her "appetizer"

DS had Carrot Sticks with Ranch as his "appetizer"

DH & I both had the Chicken Florentine as our meal

DD had the kids Spaghetti with Meatball

DS had the Grilled Fish of the Day (Salmon)

The kids meals automatically come with dessert, but both kids were so full they passed!

Ladies & Gentlemen ... this concludes this portion of our food porn from July 2007. I have posted photos of the restaurants themselves on the appropriate thread and we have also contributed to the alcoholic beverage porn thread as well. We will shortly also be posting to the room photo thread .... and maybe since we've figured out how to do all of this, I will, one day, in my spare time, write a full-blown trip report!

Yes, it is very sweet! I don't know if they make it w/o the sugar coating. Kinda seems like the whole point to me .....

In all seriousness, the Disney restaurants are usually quite accomodating to special request, so I'm sure you could always ask.

ITA! My kids will eat Mixed Veggies, but not those. That actually was their meal and they loved the chicken and rice, but not the veggies. DD3 will eat pretty much anything and she took a big bite of them and spit them right back out!

I wish they wouldnt use fatty thigh meat
