***Post Your MNSSHP Costume Ideas***

Last year DD went as Rapunzel (complete with braided wig with flowers in it and a frying pan from her play kitchen) and DH and I wore purple shirts with the kingdom's symbol and "King of Corona" and "Queen of Corona" written on them. Many of the guests thought it was talking about the beer, but Rapunzel and the CMs knew who we were supposed to be.

This year we haven't quite decided yet. DD keeps going back and forth between Merida and Izzy from Jake & the Neverland Pirates. DH has no idea what he wants to do. I have been planning on a simple Steamboat Willie costume. Grey shorts, black shirt, black tights, white tennis shoes (I mod podged some black and white Mickey comics onto them and they look cute), and Mickey ears. I also need to find some cool nautical accessories.

Read tis whole thread and saw lots of great ideas. DH and I ill be here on our anniversary and would like to dress up. Considered bride/groom costumes but was hoping to do something more creative. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd like it to be simple, easy to wear in the heat.

Going for the first time on Sept. 11th...

Since I need a scooter, I decided to incorporate it into my costume. My scooter is gonna look like a bed and I will be wearing pjs and robe w/Mickey embroidered on it.. I will look like I am reading in bed, but when I get up.. I am running around in pjs!!!

That is a great idea! I totally forgot I would be in my scooter. I need to rethink it

Yeah, we had no clue who you guys were supposed to be last year. My son guessed Lady Gaga back up dancer, or the "snap into a slim jim" guy.

HAHA - I just saw this comment.

Outside of maybe a dozen Guests most just gave us weird looks. I'm guessing we'll get a similar reaction to our costumes this year as well.

this year, sept 30th (we are meeting up w a ton of talented girls that day including your own finally08 and will be tons of princesses!!!)

im going as cinderella, my dh is charming, and ds is hamish from brave...

My friend went last year in full Stormtrooper garb.

Was it super authentic looking? If so, my son had his picture taken with him! haha! It was Oct 30th, and he was wanderig around Tomorrowland, and there were seriously kids lining up to get a pic with him! haha! I know it's not really allowed, and he was not really posing with the kids, but he was letting us snap shots! My little Star Wars addict thought it was the coolest!!!

Ive wanted to wear my stormtrooper suit before but I thought the no mask rule would ruin it for me.

This year if our group costme doesn't work out im going as a ghostbuster.

DH and I were going to go as Waldo and Wenda from Where's Waldo but then I remembered that DH has a massive beard. So Waldo won't work for him.

Now we are planning to go as Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.
DH will wear boots, jeans, red plaid button down shirt with suspenders, a red beanie and carry a large fake axe.
I'm going to wear blue tights and a blue tutu (because tutus are awesome!), a blue t-shirt or tank top, blue lace arm warmers, blue wig, black clogs and gloves for hoofs, a set of large horns on my head, and a collar with Babe written on the tag. DH wants me to paint my face blue, but I'm not totally sold on that idea.

Pardon the mess in my bedroom. I've been too busy planning my Disney trip to clean. but this is the dress that i will be wearing for the Sept. 21 MNSSHP (if we decide the go). I have yet to buy the wings and the headband to go along with it. I will come as the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio.

DFi will dress up as Geppetto if he lets me have my way.

I am trying to dress up as the Eleventh Doctor from BBC's Doctor Who. I need a brown jacket, suspenders, a fez, and a sonic screwdriver... Anyone have any ideas where to go looking for these in the central Florida area... anyone know of any thrift stores?

DH and I just order our tix for the 09/14 MNSSHP..Im shocked he's even coming at all on this trip (but it is our anniversary) so I didnt want to push my luck asking him to get dressed up...I have to dress up though there is no way im passing up an opportunity to walk around MK feeling like a princess

I think ive settled on being Snow White and im going to get DH a t-shirt made that has a picture of grumpy on it with the caption "im only grumpy when my wife drags me to Disney World"

All joking aside he's looking forward to it...can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with for costumes - that's half the fun of going to MNSSHP

We are going simple. I want to do rides. (my fab part of the party is walking on rides, honestly).

Add a bandana, some gold hoops and other accessories and instant pirate costume, but with clothes I can still wear after.

dalmations were painters suits-- made with breathable paper- stood the test of time thought the evening. (tyvek is very strong)
although it was hot out the costumes were very cool.

got tons of attention from characters/ cast members even total strangers

I am a Cast Member so I really have free reign when to go. I will definitely be at one of the late September parties, but I'll be darned if I don't go to more than one after putting in work for one of my most expensive Halloween costumes yet.


Edit: also, if your DH dresses as the tenth doctor (I am ASSUMING you will be one of the companions then) you must tell me when you go, so I can go as well.

We are going to the part on Oct 21. It's on our honeymoon! We were hoping to wear our wedding attire, but now I think that even with my dress bustled, it'll be too long? I was really looking forward to it.
