I your dress !!!

The best ( and only ) idea I have is dorks/geeks.
I think this will be easy enough for DH and DS,they will have dress shorts so I can add long socks.
Then a short sleeve dress shirt with tie/bow tie and taped up broken glasses.

Im just not sure what I can wear

As for girl nerd try these ideas:
Black Rimmed Glasses
Messy Pigtails
plaid or odd patterned button up
suspenders
Black skirt or shorts
Knee Highs
Clunky shoes (H&M have some great nerdy shoes you could then put into your wardrobe )

Rosetta, that dress is perfect!! Do you have a stitch to go with you? If not you will have to carry one around! That is the cutest costume. Put Elvis songs on your phone. lol.

The girls were delivered this week. I'm thinking of getting DH and I just black and white striped shirt with red suspenders and will go as Dee and Dum with them as The Mad Hatter and Alice.

If I knew you were a Brit I would have adjusted that vocabulary.

Truthfully, if you dressed like the 11th doctor with pigtails and nerd glasses (minus the jacket) you'd be set

We're going as Ghostbusters for our very first MNSSHP. Actually, my 3 kiddos are going as the Ghostbusters (with a Disney twist), DH will be Stay Puft and I will be ... the Slimer. I just finished my costume. Let me just say ... I'm about 5'4" and maybe 125 pounds. This is NOT the most figure flattering or attractive costume I've ever worn. But, it absolutely cracks my kids up! Scotlass, if you've still got your inflatable ghostbuster guns and if you'd like to sell them, please PM me. I'm looking everywhere for just those inflatable guns. I don't want to have to sew proton packs LOL. Anyway ... here's me as Slimer ...

I will be going to the September 30th Halloween Party as Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! My costume is nearly complete - I got a simple red dress and added buttons - I'll wear it with white tights, a white collared shirt underneath, a black belt, and black Mary Janes.

Once I put it all together, I realized it looked a little bit like Little Orphan Annie... so I needed something to make sure it said "I want it NOW!" While looking at other costumes on the internet, I saw someone who had made a clutch purse into her Golden Ticket, and I copied her idea.

I got a little clutch/wallet at Target and spraypainted it gold. I cut the Wonka letters out of felt, and since taking the picture I had my roomie write "Golden Ticket" on there. It's a good size for my park ticket and some cash AND it works with my costume. YAY!

We'll be there next week and I am so excited because I just finished ds's costume tonight! I originally paid someone a lot of money to make the vest and they didn't deliver. So me and my mom who can't sew for a flip pulled this off over the weekend.

My Gothel costume is complete but no pics...this is dd as Rapunzel. I ordered her a new darker blond wig but don't know if it will arrive in time. Fingers crossed...otherwise, she'll be platinum blond.

Oh, and we convinced my dh to be Ulf the mime. It will be hilarious! I have all the things for his costume, now to put it together!

Thank you!!! If I felt confident with my sewing skills I would totally take dd's dress apart and give it the proper colored purple skirt...but since I bought that I am afraid to hurt it. Maybe after the trip, lol.

Thank you!!! If I felt confident with my sewing skills I would totally take dd's dress apart and give it the proper colored purple skirt...but since I bought that I am afraid to hurt it. Maybe after the trip, lol.

So I'll bite...... since I've put much thought into the colors of Rapunzel's costume......... have you seen a better color? Nothing I've seen is perfect. I'm doing a new one and have a couple colors in mind. But I might as well ask the expert!

I actually saw a satiny purple today at Wal-Mart of all places, that looked like a good color match for the parks version of Rapunzel. It wasn't the highest quality looking fabric but the color looked good! I love dd's dress, but once we saw how purple they made it in the parks I started to dislike what we had more and more. I want purple, and I want pretty trim on the skirt too!
Your dd doesn't have any outgrown or rejected first run dresses you want to sell, eh?

What day will y'all be there? My dd would die to see you!! When she was 3 she was obsessed with the Ghostbuster movies, and that year wanted to be Slimer for Halloween. She'd be so jealous!

LOL! She's only had one Rapunzel so far. We're loaning that to her friend for when we meet them there in December. I"m making Katie a new one so they can meet them together with both in costume. But man, those purple colors are driving me NUTS! The problem isn't finding ONE that I like, but finding the 3 or 4 fabrics I need to work together. I'm actually thinking of trying some dye I"m so desperate!
