Post your favorite FREE APP for iphone..

this is the way I upload photos from my Iphone to Facebook - whether it's the best way, I can't say:

Go into Facebook on your Iphone and into photos. Pick the album you want to upload to. When I go into (let's say) my Mobile Uploads album, there is a camera in the upper right hand corner. Tap it. You are then prompted whether you want to take a photo or choose from library. If you say, choose from library, it takes you to your photos on the phone. Pick the photo you want to upload, hit upload and you are done.

I was doing that & it still wouldn't work. I had 2 tech-savvy people take a look & said it should be loading & they didn't know why it wasn't! Then, out of the blue, it just started working a couple of days ago :confused3 I have NO idea why, but it works!! :yay:

For my kids - stack the states $.99, great fun came for the 4th grader, still above the second grader's head.

I love the tip on how to stack the apps together, but can't figure out how to drag the apps from another page into each other?? Anyone??

Just got my Iphone yesterday here are a few that I love!!!

iMapMyRun
Weight Watchers
Couch to 5K - $1.99 (for an additional $0.99 you can add GPS to track your run.)
Gas Buddy

This can be a little frustrating. Technically once you have the apps shaking you just drag the pocket or icon over to the side you want to move it too. In reality it sometimes doesn't want to go and you get irritated. But if you keep trying it will do it. I've had this issue and an issue with the apps not wanting to go into their folders and moving each other around like magnets with opposite poles for a while. A couple of tries and it will go in. It's just an excercise in patience.

I like

Free Flashlight -

Key Ring - digitally store all those stupid reward/member cards, plus library cards, and shows "members only" offers for the cards

Pic2Shop bar code scanner (only played with it a bit but much better than bakado)

Waterlogged keep track of how much water you drink a day - you know it's not enough! lol

Around Me - found some neat local place I had never seen while driving this way. allows external access to websites if the location has it. Helpful if it's a food place & you want a menu.

Doodle kids -diversion

pocket frogs - my 13 yo loves this one

Dragon Dictation

k12 Bills & coins game (the 6 & 7yo love this)

Brain Pop daily - new video each day plus game/quiz

nook for iphone - syncs to my nook at home.

inClass - keeps track of assignments and due dates.

Both my credit unions have aps that are easy to use.

I had both My Fitness Pal and Calorie Counter on my phone, they both do the same thing, but I found that I used the Calorie Counter more often than My Fitness Pal. With My FItness Pal I went to the website more than the app.

Looked through the whole thread and didn't see this one:

BUMP If you have this one your phone you can share your favorite app or music with friends. Here's how it works. You both have to have it on your phone. Open it up and pick what you want to share.

I haven't seen one of my favorites yet, but it's not exactly free. I think it's 99 cents.

It's called "Tunein Radio" and lets you receive any radio station out there. You can pick AM/FM stations from your local area, or put in a different location, or call it up by music, sports, or talk radio. I mostly use it to get sports that are not on TV.

Another one I have that I like is called "ibooks" and it works like a kindle. The app is free, and you can buy some books to put in your library, but they also have some older classics (Moby Dick, Call of the Wild, Winnie the Pooh, etc.) that are free.

And don't forget the "Google Earth" app, which works just the computer program, and it's also free.

My 5 and 4 y/o mostly play with mine so please share your fav kid apps!

some of mine:
Timmys preschool
Monkey preschool
sparky
read me stories

I have a new one I just discovered - radio 5-0. It is police scanners for cities all over the world. I really only listen to the one near me though, trying to catch something going on nearby. You have to listen a while to get used to their "code" talk but for me, it's addictive!

Just got my white Iphone on Saturday :thumbsup2 LOVE IT!!! and this thread has been so useful, I have uploaded many of the suggested Free Apps cannot wait to use our Disney Apps while at the World in August :cool1::cool1::cool1: I find myself checking the wait times now ;)

I am subbing to this thread, I will be getting my first iphone next weekend when I get my upgrade

OT-I'm just going to get the $49 3gs to save some $$ is this a good idea or should I spend the extra to get the 4g?

TIA

Spend the money on the 4G as IOS5 operating system due out this month will not support the 3G.

The verizon Iphone 4 has 3G and it's fine for me. I have no problems with it. Love it, actually. Only difference I think from Iphone 3 is the face time, which I never use (can't stand that close up of my face, :rotfl: .

Smurf Village!! It's a lot like Farmville only it's Smurfs (much cuter ;)) I was a Farmville addict for a while (until I had the whole thing exactly like I wanted it, then I lost interest) and I sort of feel that way about Smurf Village. If you are a child of the 80's, check it out!
