Post your DP Menu?

I wanted to expand our Dp to make it from 8-10 but my planner said it would cost alot more and still waiting on my first BEO

I see that a lot of people went over the minimum for a dessert party of $22/person (or is it $24/person? I can't remember now) Anyway, my question is, is it really difficult to stay at the minimum for that? Do you only get three desserts for that price or something? (I haven't gotten a chance to look at dessert party menu options yet, are they posted somewhere?)

Yeah, if you take a look at those menus—they have one that's $23/person. You can customize all of them too, so if you really needed to stay at $22/person (or less, if you're adding a bar) you can do it. They bring so much food to these things that even if you only have 2 different kinds of desserts, there will be plenty of each.

Ooooh I didn't even realize that the bar could count towards the $22/person. I kept thinking ok 22/ person PLUS a bar.... That helps!

Interesting. So if we add drinks then we can lower the cost of the desserts (pp)? Anyone done that? I would love to know what you did! Does it come out to be about the same cost as if you get all the diff. kinds of desserts, or much more? I would really want to have a DP most likely as the rehearsal "dinner" or welcome party but would much rather have the drinks than the sweets! :rotfl: But I am also trying to cut corners how ever much I can!

We are having:

Tie Dyed Cupcakes
Assorted Cookies
Chocolate Eclairs
Triple Chocolate Trifle

$24/pp :)

I just found this and thought it might be helpful for people looking at doing a dessert party!

Here is the link to someone who wrote about a dessert party they went to in Epcot filled with LOTS of pictures of everything she ate! I found it helpful to see what everything looks like so you can create your own menu of what you think looks good!

It only costs more if you extend food service beyond one hour. You don't ned to have them continually refresh the food for more than one hour, though—what they give you in that hour is plenty!

Here's a menu another DISer gave me permission to post—she's doing a pirate-themed dessert party in a few months. I was surprised because most of the really unusual ideas came from her event planner!

For some reason that link goes to a story about the public Wishes dessert party inside Magic Kingdom, but I don't see why you couldn't request some of the desserts they serve at that party. Great idea! :thumbsup2

OOPS you are right... it is Magic Kingdom.

That Pirates menu is really cool. Funnily enough, my fiance's brother plays on the East Carolina football team. Crazy.
