Post your Degrees /Certificates /Trade /Skill/Job-what would u be?

my sister, beautiful, rich, successful, lives in a million dollar house-no jealously on my part- anyway the lawn crew asked my mom today, what she does, she has this big house and it's only her and her kids. Now sister owns mortgage companies and title companies and an insurance brokerage firm,

so guess what mom told this man, she told him my sister was an International Spy and for him not to tell anyone. The look on his face was priceless, she then asked him if he knew the government paid so well? He asked was my sis available. Now i am pretty smart but i think i would get a kick out of heck telling a lie about what i really do. I could be a criminalist like on CSI or a non violent assasin-i'm silly

What an interesting thread and so needed right now as I am starting to loose my motivation in completing my education.

AA - Accounting
BS - Accounting

I am also half way through the MBA program in you guessed it Accounting.

I am also a Controller for a commercial company and my DS is turning 13 next month. I'm almost 32 and feel like I have been going to school for nearly all of my son's life.

I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up..... :tinker:

I'll try to keep it going.

I have a BS in Geology and an MS in Information Management.

I am also a PADI Scuba Instructor.

Started out in Geology and ended up handling all production databases for a large media/entertainment company.

Now, if I could just find a scuba job that pays what my present job does.

bachelors in environmental studies and planning
k-12 multiple subject credentialing
associate degrees in early childhood education, psychology and theatre
certifications in public assistance/welfare administration and public agency supervision.

an early retiree-i've worked as a teacher, event planner/coordinator, performer...retired out of social services where i worked in cash/food stamps/medical/foster care/child care/work programs...and ended up supervising eligibiltiy and social work staff.

i'de like to go back to college and take some more classes but it kills me to see how much they charge for tuition these days (i graduated in the 80's when our state universities let you take as many units as you wanted for $295.00 per semester!).

I have an AS in accounting. I also have enough other college credits for a degree but not in any one subject area. I was a SAHM for 12 years. I now work part time in a library in technical services and I really love working in a library. Books everywhere! Eventually I hope to get my BS in accounting probably by an online program but right now we have to pay for 2 boys to go to college. Once I get a BS, I would like to go for an MLS.

I have a BS in Hotel, Restuarant and Travel Admin. I work in Insurance. I am a licensed Insurance Adjuster in all 50 states.

I want to go back to school but I don't know what for. Sometimes I think MLS, sometimes Accounting and 99% of the time I would love to go to Law School but I don't want to pay $100K for it.

Here are some degrees most people have never heard before:

BS -Radiological Health Physics

MS - Radiological Sciences and Protection

I work for the federal government inspecting and licensing companies that use radioactive material. It's a great job. Very busy most of the time; travel to some interesting places. Best job I've had so far (I tend to change careers every so often). I think I'll retire from this one though. I'm getting too old for the interviewing thing.

BS Communication Studies (Broadcasting/Journalism), Minor in English Literature and Composition, JD (admitted to practice in CA (inactive) and DC)

I don't do anything remotely connected to either degree.

I have an elementary teaching degree with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Also, I have a year towards my Masters in Guidance and Counseling.

I'm currently in progess to get my B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Manufacturing Engineering and Physics.

I plan to get a M.S. in Manufacturing Engineering part time once I start a full time engineering job.

I wanted to switch my major to Manufacturing but it would have added another year to do it so I figure the minor is fine for me and I can always get my Masters in it.

I have an Associate's in Banking and Finance

I have about 40 credits left to finish up my Bachelor's degree. It was in accounting, but I recently switched to Human Resources Management. I used to love accounting when I took it in high school and the few classes I took for my Associate's degree, but the deeper I got into it the more I started to dread it. I decided it isn't something I want to do for a career. The thing is...I'm still not sure what I want to do when I grow up.

Criminial Justice really interests me, as far as the classes go, but I'm not sure what kinds of jobs I can get with that degree besides law enforcement.

DH is 3 classes away from finishing his Bachelor's in Public Safety Management.

Okay I am game. I have a:

AS in Business Management
BS in Business Admin
BS in Pathology

Served in the army for 12 years- going back to school next month to obtain my master's in Forensic Science. I work for the federal government for the veterans hospital here in buffalo as a asst. director of internal affairs, I just started there in January. Before that I worked for FEMA for 8 long boring years and have been to New Orleans so many times that I have lost count.

Bachelors- Sociology
Masters- Sociology of Education
Doctorate-Sociology of Education

Teaching Licenses:
NYC K-6
NYS K-6
Ohio 1-8

I teach in the Department of Education at a small liberal arts college.

I'm currently a sophomore undergraduate earning my BA in Biology with a Specialization in Ecology and Conservation Biology. I plan on earning a DVM right after to become a wildlife veterinarian. :goodvibes

The timing of the revival of this thread is such a coincidence! Tomorrow we attend the commencement for DS's Master's Degree in musical performance at University of North Texas. What do you do with a degree like that? He's going to be a musician on the Princess Cruise Lines cruises to Alaska, then Hawaii.

BS in Restaurant/Hotel Management
MS in Sport Management
PhD in Health Policy (in progress)

I'm also a certified personal trainer, group exercise instructor, YogaFit instructor, & wellness program coordinator. (as I sit here munching my animal cookies :rotfl:)

BA in Organizational Management
MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer)

part way to MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)
