Post your Deal... Rental Car Codes August

I've tried all the current codes and had some luck with the Wal-Mart code & $35 coupon off a weekly rental with National... The best I could get in August was around $250/week total for a full size...

...until I broke down and bought an Entertainment book. (My edition went down to $12 and free shipping, so I gave in.) I used the EB Contract ID & the 2 car class upgrade coupon and now have the same full size car booked for $202/week total.

I also booked a full size car for 15 days in Dec/Jan (including Christmas & New Year's) for a total of $405, using the same Entertainment Book code & coupon. :yay:

Both of my rentals are pick up/drop off at the National desk at the Dolphin.

If you rent at the Car Care Center, prices are MUCH lower than the airport. I got a subcompact for a week for $103.84 :cool1:, $143.86 after taxes. A compact would be $116.91/$159.17.

I'm returning the car to the airport so that I can spend as much time at the "World" as possible on the last day. I'll take the Magical Express to get to our Resort, and National will pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the Car Care Center.

I used the Emerald Club (free) and coupon code ND1276FD.

We buy an Entertainment book every year and almost exclusively use their coupons for Alamo. I find that they tend to consistently have the best rates, just wish that they offered a free additional driver like Costco. I find the Entertainment and Costco rates to be exactly the same but since we don't have a Costco close by, we are not members so we haven't used those codes.

I was aware that they are on airport as we rent from Alamo all the time and the cars are the same cars. Though I would like to know if National has checkin terminals.

With National it's either counter or use Emerald Aisle which is even easier than a kiosk as you don't have to stop until you get to the exit booth.

does the code you used require any identification/membership/ent. book etc? Or for anyone general public?

Anyone found any good rates for a minivan?

does anyone know where avis is located at MCO. Is it in the terminal or do we have to ride a shuttle.:happytv:

I booked on May 5 and got this rate from Alamo: $192.25 (includes taxes, surcharges and fees).

My car rental is a midsize SUV. It's a 7-day rental (Aug 25-Sep 1). I am picking up/dropping off at MCO. I used the Costco contract ID 7014627 and the $25 coupon code that came with the contract ID.

I am very pleased with my rate, though it took me a while to finally get this fabulous rate. I was looking all through end of March and all of April.

I looked at Alamo and National rates at the end of April and they were about 300 for my 8 days at the end of Aug. Didn't book cause I thought they were high. Now the cheapest I can find is $430!!! I just really need a backup for my $150 Alamo "questionable code" reservation. I don't know why I didn't just book the 300 rate. I could cancel whenever I want!

Has anyone had difficulty with the questionable code? I think I have one as well that I am wondering about...I used 7011111, What did you use?:goodvibes

Hi, I used this one(7011111) also, for my upcoming July trip. I did make a BACK-UP reservation. But now I cannot remember WHY this code was questionable?? Anybody have the answer?? Thanks, Joan

Yes, I'm kicking myself too. I knew for sure we were going in Aug. Why did I not just book what I found and book again if the price drops like I always do?
I guess cuz sometimes I end up booking and rebooking 15x like I did in Nov. 07. I even stopped printing them all out there were so many price drops.
Guess I learned my lesson this year! :headache::surfweb:
