called Taylor Shoes, I CANNOT thank you enough!!!! It was the easisest transaction I have ever had.

I ordered a pair of light blue niles in a size 7. Even though my gut said to order 8. Anyway I got my niles in under 3 days. They just didn't feel as comfy as my Caymen or Beach (can't remember). Anyway I emailed customer service and within hours they said to send them back and he would put a pair of 8s away with my name on them.

I sent them back last week and then within 5 days I had my size 8! They are great!!!

I am definitely going to order more from that store.

If anyone needs the link here it is:

Again, thank you to the wonderful Dis'er who posted it in the first place!!! :goodvibes

You are welcome, and I agree, easy place to work with. Found the place on some search list. Posted on the DIS, they must be getting a few more orders than usual. : )

I just ordered and received more myself. Ordered them for my whole large group going in April. They don't have to wear them but they'll have them if needed.

My 7 year old said "I've never been so excited about a shoe." What do they put in these things??

It wasn't me. I was last at WDW in 8/05, and I wore Tevas for the whole trip. Maybe is was another Dis'er, though!

I wore mine to work last week. One of the teachers there asked me if they were comfortable....she said she was in Disney during our Feb. vacation and she said she saw them all over the place! OH YEAH!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

But has anybody gotten the new Athens yet. I'm thinking of jumping on the Crocs bandwagon, but I still can't bring myself to get the normal Crocs. I am thinking of the Athens though. Are they sized weird like the normal ones, or should I just buy them in my normal shoe size.

They are more true to size! Also the Niles are a more "traditional" look too!

Right now I can't decide between Athens and Niles as my next pair. Also since so many of you have more than one colour I think I'm due. I only have red caymans :).

Here is my photo. Can't find my Disney ones just yet but I've worn them on 2 trips already and going for number 3 in May! I just bought my DDs their first pair of Crocs. Already they are getting comments on how cute they are?! Much cuter on a little kid. They are ugly but weird how they do grow on you.

No athens here .. things between my toes give me blisters... however I got my first Beach pair about a month ago.. they're pretty comfy but I think I have to do the drier trick they do touch...

I just got my niles:) I ordered them from nordstrom .. free shipping... and although it's snowing here in cleveland I wore them out today. I think they're actually really cute and for ME.. much more comfy than the beach pair! I love my beach but will be ordering more Niles in all colors they're WONDERFUL!!! Those fit true to size...

The true test will be when I wear them on a very "walky" day.. I"ve not done that yet and every shoe feels fine on me until I walk and walk and walk.

I cant believe I am going to say this but I am ready to take the plunge and order a pair...
zappos dot com has free shipping and free returns so I think I will buy them online. Is $35.95-$49.95 the normal price range? Would it be cheaper to buy them at dillards?

Next question, Zappos has
caymen, nile, metro, professional, highland and beach.
Whats the best pair? The nile look nice but are they as good as the beach or cayman? Whats the difference between the beach and the cayman?

Thanks for your help. I am going to talk my mil into buying some too since she has heel spurs.

Do crocs come in a narrow? My mil wears a N or an A width. Does anyone wear crocs with such narrow feet?

I have pretty narrow feet, and mine fit me fine. I ordered a pair for my birthday, but had to send them back because they were too small. My new pair (light blue!!) just came earlier this week. Yay!! I'm actually wearing them right now. :teeth: My sister now said she wants some.

Love my CROCS! I have a navy pair and a brownish pair. Here is an article about CROCS that was in the Ft. Lauderdale paper about how CROCS got started and how popular they are. I posted it on another thread but here it is again in case you missed it cause it is a great article and it is what made me buy my first pair!

Sorry about that - here it is:

"What a Croc! They're ugly, ubiquitous - but comfy.

They're colorful. They carry celebrity cachet. And they're everywhere.

Those comfy Crocs shoes have walked into our hearts and onto our souls. Though -- fashion alert! -- they have all the flair of galoshes.

They're the new flip-flop, going places no one thought they would. And from such humble beginnings, too.

Four years ago this funky footwear debuted at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, touted as a simple little boat shoe. They didn't slip. Didn't scuff. And, look, they float!

Today they've moved beyond boats and beaches and are stepping out, beloved by chefs, gardeners, nurses, kids ...

There's Faith Hill on Oprah, showing off her shoes. Just last month, celebrity chefs at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival got them as goody bag gifts.

In case you've missed 'em, they sport the funky, clunky look of clogs in a psychedelic rainbow of colors.

But there's just one thing ...

"They're so ugly," says Angela Thompson of Wellington, who sells custom decorated flip-flops. "Those hideous colors!"

not for everyone...

In the past, Thompson owned a fair share of faddish shoes.

White go-go boots ...

"I wore them with a yellow jumpsuit and looked like a banana."

Doc Martens ...

"I was a punker. I'd like to wear them today if I could find a pair, but I don't want to scare the kids at school."

Thompson draws the line at Crocs, which she first spotted on a Food Network chef.

"`Gosh, those are ugly shoes,' is what I thought at the time," she says. "Even my 5-year-old saw them and said, `Ugly!'"

But their curious style hasn't stopped Crocs' sprint from a few specialty shops selling boat and beach supplies to mainstream department stores. In 2004, when Crocs stepped into hundreds of additional stores, sales of the company's footwear products soared: roughly 650,000 pairs sold compared to 76,000 the year before. Much of that boost was thanks to the popular beach model, which is peppered with air-cooling portholes.

The Crocs craze is no surprise to South Florida stylist Carrie Cochran, who knows people will wear most anything if a celebrity wears it first. Witness: low-rise jeans on oversize tummies.

"Some people aspire to be what the celebrities are so they dress like them," she says. "That's how you market clothing brands."

Before Faith Hill gushed on TV, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Matt Damon were seen sporting the shoes. Ditto Hill's husband, Tim McGraw, and their kids, says Tia Mattson, spokeswoman for the company based in Boulder, Colo. But even celebrity cachet only works so much marketing magic.

"Nothing just takes off without being comfortable or interesting-looking," says Michael Atmore, editorial director of Footwear News. "In this case, Crocs was both."

Crocs get kudos from fans for comfort and their quirky style. Made with molded resin, they conform to your foot. Other feel-good features include a wide foot bed that allows your feet to spread and a built-in arch support

Weston veterinarian Jan Bellows bought scrubs-matching shoes for his 20-person staff. Purple for the front office. Navy blue for the back. Bellows favors black or brown. His wife wears a rainbow of colors. Even his 3-year-old grandson has a pair.

"They're so comfortable," Bellows says. "I'm on my feet all day long and it was painful. I went through four pairs of very expensive shoes and then I found these."

The shoes, in eight styles, carry a $30 to $50 price tag. Imitators have marched into the market for less. Crocs' colors: 17 choices and more to come. Turquoise this spring. Gold and silver this summer.

No-stink feet?

When Hobo's Fish Joint in Deerfield Beach opens this week, check the wait staff's shoes: colorful Crocs paired with black pants, coat and white apron.

That fashion decision came courtesy of Michael Stanley of Weston, who works with Hobo's. He wears the shoes bike-riding and gardening.

"Then I throw them into the washing machine and they clean easily," he says.

(Word of caution from spokeswoman Mattson: The washing machine is too energetic. Try hand washing with warm water and a little bleach. She also says the shoe's anti-microbial material is supposed to ward against stinky feet.)

Stanley's wife bought him an orange pair strictly for Miami Dolphins and University of Miami Hurricanes games. But that's it.

"She's not crazy about when I wear them out in public," he says. "People do notice, and some say, `Hey, nice shoes.'"

Pause.

"But it could be a little sarcastic."

Lora Mauk of West Palm Beach wears hers canoeing and at her retail job where she stands all day.

"My 16-year-old daughter says, `Mom, I don't like those,'" Mauk says. "At 16, you have to care about fashion."

Bellows isn't concerned about the fashion police. In fact, he goes a step further ... in his Crocs. He dons a black pair for suit-and-tie occasions. He wore them to a wedding and recently delivered a keynote speech at a veterinary convention in Orlando, comfortably shod.

Says Bellows: "Like a lot of things, they're so ugly, they're cute."

I found the AThens...well almost! Journey's stores will be carrying them in every color in a few weeks. YAY!!! I'm going to go with chocolate and light blue.

found a site that can your crocs fun! We are loving it ! :lmao:

My son's croc strap broke. The little croc button thingy broke. Does anyone know where to purchase another one from. Thanks

I have been reading all these posts over Croc's for some time now, but have never seen them in Canada. This past week DH and I were out shopping and a store had a big sign with a huge display of Croc's, I was jumping for joy, I couldn't believe it when DH said to me that he would wear a pair also. I didn't buy them, but will be doing so in the next few weeks. Can't wait!
