Post your Character meals pics!

We saw a total of 14 characters at Minnie & Friends in April of this year.....it was crazy...never seen that many characters before. We got pics & autographs with 10 of them, had an 11th character come to our table (right when we were being seated, so no camera or book out yet) & saw 3 more characters running around.

New to us was the White Rabbit & Honest John (from Pinocchio)....I was pretty excited about that!!!

I started to bring up pics from 2005 & realized, it wasn't the Minnie & Friends meal but the Plaza used to host the Princess & friends breakfast there. Ariel's used to have Captain Mickey & friends....but I saved those pics since neither meal is running anymore.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their pics. I did my first character meal with my kids at Ariel's Grotto last December and I am looking forward to another character meal this winter.

I don't know if anyone caught it - and I meant to point it out before and forgot - but on Page 1 of this thread, in my Post #7, 11th picture down, from Goofy's December 1993, Santa Goofy has me partially on his lap. He knelt down and pulled me on his knee and I was resisting and tried to stay upright. He was a bit of a frisky Santa Goofy, I think!

So I am bumping this thread (it had already slipped to page 3:scared1::scared1:) because I just KNOW there are lots of other folks out there who can add their pictures from all the different character meals! We have had such wonderful contributions so far from everyone - but I personally would like to see more. So keep 'em coming!:goodvibes I know they are out there!

That would be great, Laurie! :cool1: I know there are tons of character meal lovers out there and everybody has a slew of pictures which they have posted on other threads, but for some reason we can't get too many people to post on this one about character meal pictures!!! And I think it is a really helpful thread to have for influencing decisions about where to eat based on food selection and characters on site.

I am bumping this thread because I know there are tons of character dining pictures floating around out there. Let's see them!!:yay:

Here you go Sherry......

Both of these were taken at The Aloha Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch @ PPH...the only other character breakfast that we have done was the one at Storyteller's. The characters did not seem as enthusiastic as Lilo, Stitch, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto & Minnie. We really enjoy the food at the Aloha Breakfast much better too! We keep on returning to PPH for their breakfast over and over...

Oh, wonderful! I am so glad you posted.:goodvibes I think are tons of folks out there who have done character meals and have lots of pictures, but they either have not found this thread or are shy!

Anyway, those are great pictures, DisneyIsMagical! You guys are a very photogenic group! I agree about Storytellers - even though I have not yet done Lilo and Stitch, just in comparison to the energy level at Goofy's I noticed Storytellers was very mellow. Now, that may appeal to lots of people who want a more laid back, mellow kind of character meal experience. I think that some people are not as familiar with the Brother Bear characters as other characters, so the whole mood is not as exciting. I like the Storytellers restaurant in general - it has a nice vibe to it that is good for a quiet dinner or lunch, but it is very quiet for a character meal!

I am getting more eager to try Lilo & Stitch - if for no other reason, just to get a picture with the very elusive Daisy Duck!

I had no idea this thread was here! Give me a bit to find my Flickr album and I'll start adding mine in a moment!!

Yes! You must post! And I KNOW you probably have a whole bunch of pictures!! I didn't even start this thread, but I realized early on that it was a great idea to have all the character meal photos in one place because questions come up about them every week. I tried to bump this thread a couple of times in the past and it was usually ignored until it slipped into the no man's land of Page 2 or 3!!:scared1: It would be nice to keep it alive somehow so that people can constantly add their character meal photos to it, past and present!

That I do, that I do! And you're right, it's great to just have one giant collection of them. Eventually, when I've done more than just the one, I'll have one full album dedicated to them. So far I'm looking at doing 2 more for my birthday, but it's so hard to decide what I want to do, since I can't do them all at once.

My friend (River Lou, here on the DIS) and I did the Minnie & Friends breakfast at the Plaza Inn on the last day of our stay back in March. We were the second table seated that morning so we got some fun interaction before everyone started filing in. Unfortunately I had to delete some of those photos, like Br'er Fox escorting my friend to go get her food!! All in all, we saw:

Fairy Godmother, who loved the color of my nails - Bippidi Boppidi Blue!

The Hostess with the mostess, Minnie Mouse:

There's still a few more, but this silly image-max drives me crazy!

Let's see, there was also Chip & Dale:

All of the photos, plus more of a detailed look at our experience are in my Trip Report (there's a link in my signature).

Wow, I am constantly amazed at the array of characters at Minnie and Friends when I see pictures of it. Belle Ella, I LOVE that picture of you and Chip hugging - that is so adorable! They are all great (as your pictures always are), but that one jumped out at me! In the old days of Goofy's (I would say at the old DLH location of the '90s), there used to be so many characters coming by that I couldn't eat a bite of food because I had to keep stopping and taking pictures. I wonder if that happens at Minnie and Friends because there are so many characters running around. As much as I love the characters, I want to eat too, so I wonder if it ever becomes difficult to do that. I still look forward to trying it eventually.

Belle Ella, which other 2 of the character meals are you considering for your birthday?

I can see with Minnie & Friends how finding the time to eat between all of the characters stopping by could be a hastle. For me though, it was never an issue. I am a fast eater and when I'm done, I'm done, and I had finished getting my food and eating between the first wave of characters that we got and then the second wave of them coming around again (some came by 3 or 4 times). I loved that it seemed like I as either busy eating, or busy interacting with the characters without a lot of downtime between the two.

Right now the decision looks to be between Ariel's Grotto and Goofy's Kitchen. I wish I could do both, but it'll depend on the rest of the people who go with me if we can or if we can only do one. Eventually I will make my way through them all.

thank you all for sharing. I will hopefully be able to add more after our trip for the Half Marathon. I really am leaning towards Minnie's, but that Peanut butter and jelly pizza at Goofy's may be enough to tip the scale that direction.

Goofy's does have the biggest buffet out of all of them (and the bigger price tag to go with it) - but it ROCKS! The fruit is so fresh and juicy, the bacon is excellent and how can you top Mickey-shaped cobbler? Awesome!
