Post your AP savings here for 1/1/07-2/14/07

$99/night at POR (my fave!) 2/14 to 24! Was trying to do 12 days at the lower rate (rate goes up on 15th) but 10 was the max....

I booked WL Woods = $180/nt including tax. Does anyone know what the $135 standard view comes out to with tax? I may switch if it becomes available.

I was also quoted, but didn't yet book:

AKL Savannah view is $205 + tax, or about $230 including tax
AKL Pool View Bunk Bed is $170 plus tax

I stayed back at AKL when they first opened with an AP rate of $124 + tax savannah view, so it is still hard for my brain to process that it's way more expensive now, so I had a little case of sticker shock! ;)

Did anyone else get grumpy CMs this morning?

2/10 (nothing for 2/9 - hoping to add it soon)

WL woods view $180 inc. tax (she didn't say anything about standard view so I assumed they didn't have one available)

I couldn't get anything at all for marathon weekend. I wanted to stay at a boardwalk area hotel so we could walk to the strat of the race - they only had a YC pool view at rack rate. :(

I got a Fort Wilderness cabin for Jan 15 to Jan 25 for $169 + tax ,total $1901.20 for 10 nights. :cool1: I saved $875. I love my AP

?

$150/nt

I got an OKW studio for $199 plus tax - which is $10 per night cheaper than the member discounted rate. :)

I got a great CM on the phone - but I was selected for the after-call survey and they are always so extra-nice when this happens that I wonder if they know :confused3

I called 3 times today, got the survey all three, and strangely, each person I talked to was nicer than the last! (I got the impression that the first one was not so thrilled about AP discount release day!)

Pop Century

1/24-1/29/07 = 5 nights

Standard Rate = 461.30
AP Rate = 331.90

Savings = 129.40

YAY...more money to spend elsewhere at Disney.

The cm's I talked to yesterday and today were super dooper friendly too, they might know that there is a possiblility of a survey being done on them, I just hope they keep it up.

I have two choices ($ w/tax)
WL Woods View $180/nt
CR Atrium Club $455/nt (can't get Tower MK view for Fri or Mon nights)
We have a 4 day "swing" vacation weekend (can choose which 2 days to have off) that I'm trying to "swing" into a quick Disney vacation.
The dilemma... which to take? (And what can the budget handle? And which ones fall on cheaper airline dates...)
All the rooms at WL and CR seem to be $80 off per night for the AP rate.

I posted yesterday about our $59/night AP rate at POP Century for 10 nights in January....after some pondering last night, I called this morning & changed out ressie!! LOL :rotfl:

We're now doing: 4 nights at POP - $59/night & 6 nights at Caribbean Beach - $99/night. :thumbsup2 We're pretty excited about it - we've actually never stayed at a moderate before - values, deluxes & DVC, but not moderate! LOL

Just an FYI - I also inquired about Coronado Springs for our 10 nights, or a split stay & I could get an AP rate, but only a King room for an additional $15/night, so we passed on that.

I just added up my total savings from all 7 nights (1 night ASMu, 4 nights WL, 2 nights POR), and I saved a total of $524 off of rack rate!

Got 3 nights at CBR for $334 (tax included) for 1/1-1/4. We usually stay off-grounds and will again for the first part of the trip, but this looked like a good time to try on grounds.

I am booked at WL for 4 nights, 1/9-1/13. Woods View. Rate before discount was $1070.40, after AP discount was $720 - savings of $350.40!!!!! Since we are staying there for our Disney Wedding, I called Grand Gatherings to book WL rooms for some of the rest of my family and they are letting me use my AP rate for their rooms too! My Woods view room went from $240/nt to $160/nt before taxes. For the family members, I got 4 standard WL rooms for $135/nt before taxes. I didn't even know I could use my AP to book more than one room, so I was extremely happy!! Thank you Discount Fairy!!! :woohoo:

I was able to book Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah Bunk Bed room for $230!!
We booked this too!
We were looking for CR but this was the only deluxe available for our time and was on our list to try. :thumbsup2 Hope we like it.
Congratulations everyone on your discounts. :wave2:

I got 16 nts at CBR Jan 25-Feb 10 for $99/nt + tax and 10 nts in a preferred location for my sister during that time for $114/nt + tax.

Total savings-- $1337!! :cool1:

Still thinking I might upgrade the last several days if I can, would love to get a std view at WL to try that out but it hasn't been available. Thanks everyone for posting, I have hope that I might get it!

Just a note, it took me three calls to get that, got the first ten days the first time, nothing for the last six, then a call which produced nothing, then another call and my last 6 days at the discount at CBR were available. All on the first morning of the discounts, pretty much back-to-back calls.

What website do you use to look up prices and "put in" a code. Or do you call an agent to get the code. Is there a place to put the code in. I went on the disney website but I didn't see a place for a code when trying to make a ressie.

Someone else asked too about online...

If you go to the passholder website (off the regular disneyworld one) and enter your AP info, you get to see all the special offers...click through on the special offer links and you get to a booking page. Or call WDTC (or your TA) and they can book for you. I've been checking online, but the booking restrictions are more online for changes, so I call and talk to someone, who is usually really good at manipulating the variables to get something. Of course you can book by phone with the intent to get an AP, while online you have to have either a voucher number or an activated pass to get in.
