Hello all,

Now that the Animation Academy is (re)opened at Animal Kingdom (and I imagine on the West Coast as well), I am wondering two things. 1) Can we start a thread of people's posted drawings to compare our outcomes and 2) Do you have any suggestions as to how to improve your drawings.

I just went there this weekend for the first time and I loved the process (and I think my Scar came out OK). But I was amazed at how fast the process went (even though the whole "show" was probably 20 minutes long). And I saw that many people were left behind. Do you think this is because true artists take their time? I am in no way an actual artist-type so I didn't sweat some of the detailed work. Maybe other people did?

What strategies do you suggest to make your drawing work? Post your drawing below (even or especially if you are not proud of it). What was your favorite character to draw? I will definitely be back to do a different character (hopefully).

Suggestions for how to get better at drawing? Draw more is the only answer.

If there were many people left behind, I’d bet it was more because they haven’t drawn since childhood, not because they’re real hardcore artists. People sadly quit drawing if they don’t feel really good at it. Although it doesn’t keep them off the adult league softball fields....LOL

Yours looks great. I hope they add this to every park.
