As for Yak and Yeti, yes it is a participating TS for the DDP. As for the boardwalk / flying fish - no there is no cost to enter the boardwalk.

First, I have to mention that, for various reasons, we just made our resort reservations last Friday. I was getting nervous about ADRs, as I hear that the Magic Dining is very popular and is resulting in no ADRs for some of the more popular restaurants. So, I locked myself in the bedroom yesterday, and spoke with Rebecca (who was very patient), and here's what we got:

2 adults, 2 kids (DS (9) & DD (6))

4/18: 50s Prime Time Cafe (5:50 PM)
4/19: Norway Princess Breakfast (8:45 AM), Garden Grill (5:50 PM)
4/20: ???
4/21: Liberty Tree Tavern (7:45 PM)
4/22: ???

As you can see, I still have to find something for 4/20 (wanted Ohana, but the earliest ADR was 9 PM) and 4/22 (wanted Le Cellier, nothing, nada, zilch, and same for 4/19, hence Garden Grill). I'm going to try Whispering Pines for 4/20, but I was wondering: We are planning to be at AK that day, is Yak and Yeti a participating restaurant? Alternately, I've wanted to try Flying Fish, do you have to pay to get onto the Boardwalk?

Feb. 3-Crystal Palace dinner at 8:40(we liked it!)
Feb. 4-Yak & Yeti lunch at 12(Best meal of the tip, just awesome!!)
Feb. 5-Les Chefs de France Dinner at around 7(Delicious!!)
Feb. 6-Le Cellier lunch at 1(Really good) and Dinner at Tusker house at 7:25 (Good but we were still full from lunch!)

Just added two more for our June Honeymoon trip.

There were many other ressie's open around these times if anyone was toying around with the idea of these two restraunts.

Not to sure how hubbie will feel about eating with the princess's but this is our only character dinner for the trip and I've never eaten in the Castle before since I have two boys and princess's are ALWAYS out on our family trips. I figure I might be able to get away with it since it is in the Castle after all!

The Princess Storybook is in Epcot - Norway. They bring out family style breakfast (like Ohana) and some of the princesses are there and they go around to each table. Starting in April, you will also get a photo package of you and your family with 1 princess.
