I have noticed that I have been getting TERRIBLE headaches after my 4 mile power walking/running:headache: . Have any of you experienced this before? It's very frustrating, because these headaches are basically migraines (which I am prone to, and have had an uncountable amount of times), and many times I need to go lay down for awhile, so I can rest my head:( .

I need some good advice on what I should do to not get the headaches.

Thanks!!

make sure you're not getting dehydrated -
try taking an electrolyte drink with you :thumbsup2

I second the hydration recommendation. I can always tell when I have had enough water to drink because I get a lingering headache (and, sometimes, a migraine). I think we all have to be extra careful about our hydration and electrolytes when we're in training, regardless of distance and especially in the summer.

FWIW, the WISH Events/Competition thread has a link to nutrition and hydration information under its sticky thread, Welcome to the WISH Team. You can check there for a Nutrition link that provides some basic information and can post a question for more info. You might also want to check out the link to hypoatremia on the Nutrition thread (at the bottom of the post); it provides a more detailed discussion of electrolytes.
