Kinda on the fence here...I was in elementary school when Reagan was shot. I still know the words to every song on the Pyromania album. We had a Commodore 64 and played Centipede. I remember a neighborhood gathering when Elvis died and thought the Blizzard of '78 was a lot of fun. LOL.
 

You had to take turns sitting "on the hump" in the car.
You went OUT and ate pizza.
You went to the Drive In movies at least once a summer.
My parents NEVER knew where I was, I just had to come home for dinner.
 
I remember my third grade teacher explaining "Watergate" to us

I remember watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon

I remember when MTV was new and played mostly music

I remember when all we had to listen to were 8-tracks

I remember when my Apple IIe was the best computer around

I remember when "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" was banned in Boston.
 
I am well over 30. Do you remember the "Howdy Doody Show"?,
"The Pinky Lee Show" and "Tom Corbet - Space Cadet"? I still have my Tom Corbet glow-in-the-dark space decoder belt, circa 1952.
We had a 10" black and white table top television that received one channel out of Boston. The picture was so snowny we could only watch the TV during the evening.

Those were the "good ole days" !:D :rolleyes:

I remember Alan Shepard blasting off as the first American in space.

I remember my parents buying our first TV. It was black and white and a table model. I liked it because I could watch Howdy Doody at home instead of my grandmother's house.

I liked to watch Ozzie and Harriet to see Ricky Nelson singing at the end of the show.

I remember when Elvis went into the Army.

I know the words to every Frank Sinatra song from my parents playing the music around the house.
 
We watched "Disneyland", hosted by Walt Disney himself, every week on our black and white TV. (In later years it was in "technicolor")
We watched it every week (I think it was on Saturday night) with our neighbors and took turns going over to each other's houses to watch it and make popcorn.
I had a true Ozzie and Harriet childhood - LOL.

What a great thread! Well for starters...LOL, I guess I was watching the original Star Wars in the theatre while Elaine was being born!!!:p I saw the Jackson Five in concert!!! The Osmond Brothers too!! Remember playing "pong"? "You bet your bippie!" I remember when Daddy brought home our first tv set...it was black and white and had a 6 inch screen...and we were the luckiest kids in the world!:) I remember my Mom's wringer washer too. I saw 101 Dalmations...on opening day...the first time around! Remember drinking Tang for breakfast...the powder never quite dissolved all the way did it? Remember "Liddle Kiddles"? The first record I ever owned was a 45...."The Green Berets". I had a POW bracelet too....but I gave it back to the soldier who's name was on it....met him in person! Very emotional.
 
I had a Bobby Sherman wrist watch, pictures of David Cassidy, Donny Osmond and The Bay City Rollers on my bedroom walls, mitten socks, 45 records, my hair "feathered", going roller skating every Sunday, going to the drive-in every Saturday night, playing Pong on Atari, buying Yum Yum from the street vendor, riding a bicycle with a banana seat and a baseball card on a spoke, held on with a clothes pin, playing "Jail Break" with the neighborhood kids, going to Pioneer Girls meetings.:D
