Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I tried to post photos, but didn't realize I had to have ten posts before I could do that. I'll work on that today! ;)

You're almost there! A couple more responses and you'll be at 10! ;)

I have a Heys travelmate in pink. I just love it! I got that and 2 VB Hipsters! I have already used the hipsters, but am waiting for the trip to use the travelmate. It does fit quite a bit!

Looking forward to seeing your pics!

It feels small on my back, but holds lot of stuff! Maybe about the same size as a "child" size backpack (think Dora - not Disney Store backpacks!)

My camera is not a big slr - but is not a small point and shoot, either. So my medium camera (in the camera bag), a bottle of water, my checkbook sized wallet, passporter book, 2 autograph books and extra t shirts for my kids (5 and 7) all fit with no problem and I could fit more if needed.

There are 2 mesh pockets inside to hold water bottles and 2 pockets that would hold a small point and shoot camera and ipod/cellphone. Also a zippered pocket inside. And two zippered pockets outside that would hold smaller things (maybe like ID's or other flat items) If I can figure out how to post a pic, I will try!!

The pictures look great! It certainly holds a lot. :thumbsup2 I have a bulky non-SLR camera as well, so I figured a backpack would be my best bet. One more question: how did the weight distribute? You packed a lot in there, so did you feel weighed down at all?

Ok, here is my Heys Travelmate. This is what I had in it, and I still had quite a bit of room left. I know I will probably add a few things before we head to DW.

I forgot to add, for those of you that aren't familiar with the bag, that there is a zip out bottle holder on the side.

I used to bring a little bag each time for our camera/KTTW cards, kool-aid mixins, and extra undies for dd when she rides splash mountain (she hates wet undies). Well, I just got back from the store where I bought dh some cargo shorts. He will now be the pack mule! LOL

I will probably throw our ponchos in the bottom of the stroller. That about does it for us! The resort is not too far away if we get in a bind.

No, the weight was evenly distributed and the straps and back side of the back pack are padded. And although it didn't seem heavy I can't say it felt super light - but nothing like my college backpack with all those books! :rotfl: Of course, I haven't worn it around for more than about 10 minutes - but since it is a backpack (and not a crossover bag that resembles a purse) dh can carry it some if I need him to!

I'm sold! I ordered it in white/surf. I can't wait! :yay: Thanks for linking this bag. I've been agonizing over small backpacks (I don't see many these days) and would have never known this one existed.

Yay!!! I hope you love it as much as I do!!! The white is pretty !!

I've been luring and read through the entire thread. Whew! My husband thinks I'm crazy to read all this about bags :)

I already have a small Ameribag and I love it. It has so much room and so many pockets. I never had any issues carrying it all day. It's made the WDW trek, NYC and Colorado. I've also used it for an everyday bag.

I'm taking it with me again in May (woo hoo), but am a little bored and want something new. This thread was so full of wonderful suggestions and recommendations. Thanks to everyone!

I took advantage of the sale of retired colors at Vera Bradley and just ordered a Mesa Red hipster!! Can't wait for it to come in.

thanks for the pic of the Heys bag, I ordered 2 one in each color :cool1:
will be great bags for vacation as well as every day use.

:cool1:Just ordered a Baggallini. Got it from Bagsbuy.com using the save10 code I found on this thread and no shipping the total came to just $27.35. Woo hoo!

Thanks to all the info here.:worship:

I cant wait to fill the bag. Just 80 more days!!!

I got the baggallini cause I am using it as my smaller "personal" carry on bag (like a purse) and for the parks. The heys travel mate (Shopko sells a few here in Nebraska) is too small for what I'd put in it for the plane. And the velcro flap is very noisy (to me anyway).

My baggallini should be here Tuesday. I'll try to take a picture when I practice packing it, but I won't have everything yet (need a poncho and a few other things).

I can't decide between the baggalini or the heys travelmate! Oh the decisions:lmao:

It is a hard decision! I ordered both and was planning on taking them both with me, but finally decided on the Heys travelmate. Both bags are very nice, and the Baggallini holds more than the Heys. They were both comfortable on, but once the decision was made for my kids (17, 14, and 12), and hubby to carry their own small bag into the park, I decided to go with the smaller Heys. It zips open to add a little more room to the main pocket if I need it. And part of my decision stemmed from the fact that the Baggallini was heavier then the Heys when they both were empty. If my kids were younger, and I needed to carry quite a bit more, the Baggallini would be PERFECT for that! I plan on holding on to my Baggallini for other things anyway, I love that bag.

Here's mine:

My very first Baggalini recommended by several Disboard members! ::yes::

I have this same bag. This will be our first trip to wdw and I got it for the trip. I even got $10 off and I got like 10% off too for being a first time buyer. :cool1:
I can't wait to use it. A bunch of people on here suggested it.

I looked at both, too. My kids are different age range and had a lot to do with it. My oldest is 11 so she is carrying most of her own stuff in a fanny pack, but dd6 still needs a little help and a little more, so I went for the Baggallini. We may still end up with a stroller after a few days. I cant wait until I can pare down a little more. But then, they are only little for such a short time. Some day I will be Heys travellmate size. :confused3 Not sure how I will feel then:sad2:

Thanks! I am leaning towards the travelmate right now. My son will be 4 and will still need "stuff". But we will also have a stroller.

How did you get $10 off was that because it is on sale?
Thanks!

There's a CODE to save an additional $10 called save10 I got mine for $24.70 with the save10 code and the 10% off for registering. I may end up sending it back and getting an eBags Piazza Day Bag instead.
