Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I just got a baggalini off of HSN, for just under 27 dollars. I am a first time customer so I got 15% off, and I shopped through ebates, so I am getting 3% back on my purchase. DH is planning on getting a fanny pack. So 80's! LOL

I also found a bag I loved at llbean that I can use my gift card with. It is a lightweight beach/tote bag. Figured that would be great for the bottom of the stroller for diapers/towels/extra clothes/snacks, stuff I don't need on me at all times.

If you're looking for a deal, see the previous page. The bagsbuy coupon code is there...I believe it is sale10?

thanks...I looked there but they don't have the large wallet bag there (other than the zebra print...I'm looking for a solid color). Thanks though! :)

In the past, I've carried a double-handled tote bag -- one trip by myself, one with a friend (before that, with my family, we always had a stroller so it wasn't an issue). This trip with my family, though, I bought a cross-body traveler bag at Target from Swiss Army (they make the knives). It's larger than a cross-body purse and has LOTS of compartments -- big enough for my digital camera, but not big enough for extra shoes or a jacket. It's also black and gray, so hubby won't feel girly carrying it (and believe me, he will carry it...).

I'm interested in the VB Hipster. Do you have any problems with electronics like cell phones & cameras getting wet on water rides or FL rains? I suppose for the water rides themselves, it wouldn't be such an issue as I've always put my electronics in a ziploc bag for extra protection. But does the bag get wet and stay wet making it heavier? Or making it not safe to take electronics out of ziploc bags after water rides?

Hope these pictures help... (and let me tell ya, I HATE pix of myself but for the greater DIS good...)

I have a baggallini (sp?) messenger. Got it on clearance @ REI online.

I don't like purses - I have a healthy back bag from L.L. Bean and I hate it. (gasp!) I'm a "money and license in the back pocket" kind of gal. But we knew we'd need something for a water bottle, tickets, car keys, sunscreen, etc. LOVE the messenger bagg! okay....

Here's a shot showing the bag's regular position for the week:

I just realized the bag is almost the same color as my shirt, but you can see it. I'm not a petite person (ahem), but this bag was very comfortable. I've seen other people mention (on other boards) that they found the strap too short, but it's actually very adjustable. There are two slide buckles to adjust, making the strap REALLY long. You could also shorten the straps and wear it over one shoulder like a purse; mine slid off a bit, but I'd do it if we were going in and out (like from car to restaurant, etc).

This picture doesn't show the bag too much, except for one VERY important feature:

Okay... I don't tell just anyone to stare here, but you see that strap going, um, between "the girls" ? THERE is a zipper pocket that hides in the strap. The company says it's for a cell phone, but my cell is a flip phone and didn't fit. However, we kept all our tickets RIGHT THERE the whole week. Believe me when I tell you I had NO WORRIES about someone trying to steal our tickets (I would LIKELY notice :) ) Also, I didn't worry about the tix falling out of a pocket, or falling out if we took something out of the bag.

Last picture (sorry so long here) - and please DO NOT mention to DH that I'm posting this, but it's proof that a guy MAY wear it:

You can also see the strap against your neck - I actually didn't mind too much - I found my camera strap hurt - but this strap was smooth enough. Although toward the end of the day, I preferred to tuck a shirt collar underneath, as he is NOT demonstrating here.

Here's a few pics of the Baggallini Messenger Bagg from page 12 of this thread.

So, after reading every post here :rotfl2: I still am not sure what bag to get!!!!:lmao:

But I do have a few ideas - lots of great info in this thread!!!

I'm still not sure, either. I really want the baggallini......but then I was thinking a Mesh Backpack would be clear and see through (and make the bag inspection go faster). I'd keep my small dig. camera in my little waist pack I just got on eBay (discontinued style/type that has credit card slots and a coin area) and that would hold my valuables. A mesh backpack could hold a small cooler bag with a few bottles of water (so I could do the flavor packets). But a baggallini might be able to hold a camelbak bottle.......only problem is I don't know if it'd be wise to use flavor packets w/ Camelbak bottle.

And then there's just a regular backpack w/bottle holder.

Or a smaller bag and then get a water bottle holder (for like Dasani or whatever) but I don't know where to get the water bottle holder at.

So, I'm just not sure yet.......I don't want to bring too much in, but I don't want to get caught off guard if it starts to rain or something.....

I've narrowed the field down to three--Baggalini Messenger, Overland Donner, or HEYs TravelMate. Can I carry these bags on the rides with me or are the bags too large? I need to carry ponchos, sunscreen, small camera, hand sanitizer, wipes, meds, water, ShamWow and kleenex.

Thanks!

Those with baggallnis: what color do you use? I know the color depends on the person's tastes, but I was just curious cause I really want the purple, but I'd be okay with periwinkle, too.

OK, I know that I'm going to sound like a total nut, BUT! I love my baggallini's! I have them in the lime green ::yes:: , the purple :upsidedow , the pink :Pinkbounc , periwinkle :( , and the mermaid blue  .

do you have a picture of the purple? Is it a really dark purple or is it more of an eggplant purple color? And is periwinkle the color of the sky (light blue) or is it bluer? I am still having trouble deciding and I have to make my purchase sometime around April 15th so I can have it early enough to see if it would work.

Will I be able to pack 4 Disney Ponchos, a small camera, wipes, meds, small towel in the baggallini? Also, does it fit snugly against your body or does it flop around?

I think I am leaning towards one of these two. Anyone else have experience with them? I have an Amazon gift card for $25 so it would be really cheap!

Any opinions????

I see if you buy on amazon you can sign up for a 'trial membership' for one month to get shipping on the bag for free. (and as soon as I get the bag then canceling it without paying the fee ;) )

Almost bought one at a Shopko store in January. The velcro flap would get a little noisy and there were other possible issues. Not sure if it would hold a lot, but if you don't have to plan for children (diapers or change of clothes, etc) then I suppose you could try it.

I have the Overland Donner. I got it online at the REI outlet store for a song. I have not taken it to WDW yet, (only 19 days but who's counting) but I plan to. I really like it. I got it because I got a larger camera, not a SLR, but larger than my tiny one and I wanted something that would hold it and other items well, plus I love the two water bottle holders on either side! Good luck with your decision.:)

anyone have the eBags Piazza Day Bag? I know its been mentioned at least once before in here. My mom returned from visiting my grandma this weekend and she said that my aunt (that lives in the same town as grandma) has this bag and LOVES it. My mom brought some sort of pamphlet or catalog or something like that back for me to look at. I really like the eggplant color (its a pretty purplish color) on the website. My one concern would be the magnets, but my KTTW card would be in a small waist pack I going to wear.

Oh, and does anyone know where to find a Jansport Half Pint Backpack (not necessarily online) and know if it would hold a few extra bottles of water? Thanks.

I can take a picture of the purple for you and post it on here as soon as my sixteen yr. old helps me figure out how to do that! LOL
Pathetic I know, but what do you do when you don't know how to do the tech stuff. LOL
It is a very dark purple, and I would say it leans more to a royal purple, a blue purple more than anything else, no way would I say egg plant purple though, then again color is so subjective in the mind of the persons, I'll take a picture and hopefully you'll get a better idea. The periwinkle is... humm, it's NOT sky blue, I think it leans closer to the purple, but a good mix of both. Sorry, again it's subjective.
I just looked at the pictures on bagsbuy, and I have to say they are very true to color for the ripstop nylon, which are the one's your talking about. ;)

I'm not sure you would be able to get all of what your wanting to get into the bag, I can fill mine up and take a picture with similar stuff and let you see if it will work for you??? As far as the fit goes, it has adjustable straps to make it fit as loose or as snug as you would like it. I'm a pooh shaped gal, so I like mine to not fit to close and I feel just great in it, I also have a daughter who is about five foot tall, and 95 lbs. and it doesn't seem to big even with the straps sinched all the way as tight as they will go. It's a good fit for my daughter, not to big.
I've been VERY happy with my bag, the first time I went to WDW I went with a huge back pack and was not happy about having to carry such a big bag since what I was carrying didn't require such a big bag. The last time I went with my baggallini messenger and was thrilled to have such a great little bag and not feel so over whelmed but still able to carry all of what I wanted to carry.
Items I carried: A small umbrella (and not the smallest kind you can carry either)a full size spiral note book, small bottle of water, a decent sized can of spray sunscreen, a smallish wallet, small digital camera in it's case, a couple of pens, chap stick, a hard sunglasses case-kinda on the bigger side of glass cases, ear plugs, maps for the park and I think that's it! :)
I don't know CRSTEPHE, you might be able to get all of what your wanting in your baggallini after all??!!?? I'll try and get that pic on here for you to see what you think.
