Post office at Disney?

Hi - I was wondering if there was a post office somewhere at WDW... I would love to be able to send a postcard that would arrive in Canada before we return home. Thanks a bunch

There are mailboxes everywhere in the Parks and Resorts. While the mail is picked up daily, it must go to a central place and then sent out. Postcards seem to take a few days longer to get to our friends then if we mail them from "off" property.

Stamps can be purchased at Guest Relations inside the parks or at the gift shops in the Resorts.

One tip: Preprint address labels before leaving home and then just stick them to the postcard. Less writers cramp and I don't have to drag along my address book.

Here's a cool little tip...in the WS at Epcot there are old time looking mailboxes...I know there's one by Mexico. They are working mailboxes for the CMs to send mail out (or at least that's what it says on the mailbox). I would ask someone there if guests can use them too. Might not be as convenient as regular mailboxes...but I think it'd be really cool.

If you want your mail to arrive before you, I'd suggest dropping them in a USPS box. There is one on the parking lot side of World of Disney at DTD.

Don't forget to e-mail your friends from Epcot, in the Innoventions section....west (I think)

If you want a Disney postmark, try the scrapbook shop at Downtown Disney. But don't put any postage on it--they meter the mail there with a unique Disney impression.

If you mail from anywhere else you will just get an Orlando postmark.

I ONLY use this shop when I go nowdays. The special postmark is cool and the cards I send from this location seem to get to their destinations quicker.....although I admit that could be my imagination. (but the last two times the cards actually did beat me home!)

Agreed! If you have time, Definately go to Downtown Disney.

It's so much cooler to receive mail from Disney than "Orlando, Fl 32821"
