This will be the 3rd time we have gone during the Thanksgiving week. It is also OUR THIRD TRIP this year AND our 2nd trip home. However we are departing on an early evening flight Thanksgiving day. We arrive on the 14th for 8 LOVELY NIGHTS AT SSR. I CAN'T WAIT. GOBBLE GOBBLE.

We're doing 2 nights at SSR and 1 at AKV. We wanted AKV for the whole time, but since it's not our home, we didn't get it.

We're going to BWV on the 16th and leaving on the 21st for 2 nights at Portofino Bay.

We're there as of the 20th - wish it could be sooner, but school is in session and it is hard to take the days off. We will be celebrating our son's 22nd birthday while we are there - even more reasons to give thanks!

We are driving down and then taking the auto train back home. It will be nice to relax and let the train do the driving.

I did make some ADRs - Cindy's Royal Table, the Biergarten (DS's birthday request), the Garden Grill and also Crystal Palace. Thanksgiving Day will be at the Garden Grill - we haven't been there since it reopened. Can't wait!!

.......I WILL BE SITTING ON A FLIGHT GETTING READY TO TAKE OFF FOR MY FAVORITE PLACE EXACTLY 4 WEEKS FROM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After days like this at work........IT WILL BE PURE BLISS TO BE AT THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH. WOOOOOHOOOOO

We arrive on the 18 at OKW 2 bedroom with the grandkids until the 23, and then downsize to a 1 bedroom until the 29th.

We will be there Sat. 17-Fri. 23 at SSR. I am soooooo excited. We have some friends going with us and they have never been before. They have a 6 year old DD. We have an 8 year old DS. I can't wait to see their faces. This will be our first time Home to SSR. I am counting down the days--30 more. We are eating at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian on Thanksgiving at 6:10. Couldn't get Liberty Tree Tavern but that is ok.

Did everyone see the hours for the parks while we are there. MK until midnight. HOOORAY!!!!!

Thanksgiving is one of my fav times of the year at WDW! Not going this year, so I am jealous of you all, LOL!

I am sure you will all have a spectactular time!

We arrive at SSR on Nov. 20th and depart on the 23rd. This marks our first trip during T-giving and we can't wait.

T-giving day we are dining at Artist Point for the first time, as well. Plus trying Shula's and Turf Club. Can you tell we are all about food this time?? Oh well, after all it is Thanksgiving week!!

Will the Christmas decorations be up?

Wow, I am very excited for everyone going this year. I am planning a trip next year for the Friday before Thanksgiving and flying back on Thanksgiving night. I would love feedback on these questions:

1. I need a 2 BR and 2 Studios for VWL....will this be possible at the 7 month window? I hear that VWL is great with Christmas decorations and would love some first time Disney folks to senjoy that.
2. Flights affordable, I am assuming thanksgiving day is ok?
3. Park Crowds...we are used to light crowds in late October. I have heard that crowds are fine until Wed before thanksgiving?

We'll be heading down on Saturday before Thanksgiving, coming back on Friday. 2nd year for us.

While I do not know what next year will hold, my DH and I were on a waitlist at VWL for T-giving week this year at the 7 month mark, and it did not come through. Consequently, we purchased a small VWL add-on so we will have the 11 month advantage in the future.
