Well was pleasantly surprised.Wrote an e-mail to Disney 5 days ago concerning hours and some other things and just got a personal telephone call back this AM. Didn't expect it.:) The CM was very nice and talked to us for app 15min. He listened to our concerns and also praise of what they are doing right. Don't want to start rumors but it was a rather insightful conversation. Expected an e-mail at the most, but not a one on one phone call.:)

i love disney, but i'm a lttle mad that they don't use all of there cast members to operate the rides, and sometimes they din't use all the cars, trains, tracks, etc.. I know that they try to make it look like it's very buisy so people think that a lot of people go there, even after 9-11, but i think i would be much happier with shorter lines so i could go on more rides. that way i could get the most out of my vacation :Pinkbounc :bounce: :jester: :smooth: :D

What wrong with giving Disney some feedback ? Positive or Negative. I have always felt they were receptive in the past. Most things that improve customer satisfaction don't cost money anyway ! A smile and good attitude are priceless.

I thought they were having E nights for June is this true or false? If you know what the real deal is Please reply.

When we talked to the CM yesterday they told usE-nites were still on for June/July. He also stated Disney is looking at extending park hours on some days.(That's nothing new. They already do that)

the E-ride night for June are 4,7,11,14,18,21,25,28
I just confirmed this with Central Reservations.

I haven't read this whole thread but join my 2 cents to other disappointed disney fans. I joined the Disney Club and booked reservations at the Wilderness Lodge (rather than staying off site) just because of early entry. I've stayed in at 6 different Disney hotels and at their campground simply because of EE over the years. It has saved countless hours of waiting in line for me and my family. We're early risers anyway and the thought that we'd be able to ride all our favorites and the latest hot rides--maybe even twice--while others were snoozing away in their hotels was the main reason I stayed at WDW. There are some very nice hotels close by with free breakfasts, nice pools, and big rooms. My sole reason for not saving almost $100 per night was that it was worth the extra expense for us to be able to really enjoy the vacation--we all hate those long boring waits in line. With the "big" rides out of the way we could enjoy some of the lesser attractions, catch some of the street performers in Epcot, MGM, and generally relax a bit more. I've VERY disappointed in this. I won't cancel my reservations now but will certainly think twice before booking Disney again. Business decision or no, it think Disney will find that they might be losing more than they are gaining. The guidebooks will take a year or so to "catch up" but check Frommers, Fodors and the rest. They all give early entry as one of the main advantages of staying with Disney rather than in one of the nice hotels nearby. They'll be sorry, folks, come a year or so.

Joy,

I disagree. Disney is 8 months into no EE. People are going. There are other reasons to stay onsite. But if your main one was EE, so be it. I rather not have to deal with parking a car, be able to an easy break and the like.

Enjoy offsite.

EE is a benefit we've always enjoyed when staying on site. However, losing it is not enough to force us off-site on our next trip. What is happening is a shame but is understandable.

EE is no big deal.
I just got back from my first visit (10 days) and it was AWESOME.
Fast Pass made quick work of the lines and the off-site home we rented was wonderful with a private pool and jaccuzzi.
I think y'all are silly to waste money staying on-site regardless of "the perks". Waiting on a bus ain't my idea of bliss.
I rode all the rides I wanted and then some.
I must say, that Universal's Island of Adventure really rocked!
Disney really needs a coaster oriented theme park for those craving a little more excitement.
Cheers!

What I don't get it all this moaning and groaning people still go to Disney, still stay in the parks and still have fun. If I am not mistaken I think the poly is sold out the day I am staying there, what does that tell you:) I stated before in another post, I will not miss early entry, I can sleep a little later and be alot more alert when the temps go high.:)

I rather wait 10 minutes for a bus then waste time driving, fighting traffic. To each his own!

I understand that everything has to change (inculding unfortunately, early entry) but my big problem with it is that when I booked in January it was highly touted as one of the benefits. Neither Disney nor my travel agent have come around to tell us Early Entry was cancelled. Instead we find out from various Disney fan sites. Not the best way to find out and then to top it al off all the hours cutbacks. :(

I think one thing we lose sight of is that most WDW visitors are not so well informed as we are. Many never knew anything about EE and the new visitors won't even know they're missing. Disney may get a small temporary bump in attendance, but it won't be nearly enough to make them want to bring it back.

Just voiced my dissapointment with the Vacation Club's Guest Services about discontinuation of EE. She told me what they are doing for those Early Birds is a Character Greetings in the Resort Lobby at 8 AM. This rotates around from resort to resort so each one gets about 3 days during the week. I'll miss the EE but those with kids should have a nice way to start the day now!

Except to go to the park not having EE that day. EE parks were getting too crowded on those days. I could care less if they do away with it. It was never a big perk for us and that was not why we go to WDW or stayed onsite for anyway..smjj

Isn't it time to let this issue go away. The only change anyone seems to care about is EE and how much more can you say about it. It was a part or your plan or it wasn't. I miss it because we always knew what park not to visit on a given day. Whats done is done and we should all get on with our lives.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
