Post Florida Blues !!!

I could not agree with everyone more book another one :lmao:
I honestly don't know what I would do if I didn't have a Florida trip to look forward to.

We arrived back last Thursday :sad2: I was grumpy for a good few days.
We're off for Christmas so I'm trying not to be a spoilt brat.

Would love to read a trippie though thats another great suggestion by your fellow Disers :)

Feel the same way! Not exactly miserable but everything just feels so mundane - the last week has had me feeling vague and lethargic.

Still haven't got around to posting my highs and lows or the remainder of my pictures - in fact, apart from downloading/backing up my piccies I've not even touched them.

I know it's all temporary and I'll get back into the swing of things eventually (though this time definitely seems to be taking longer than normal), but till then I'll just ride it out and moan about the cold ;)

Did you have a lovely time? :)

Yes, thankyou! We had a really great trip this year, our best in ages infact! Probably why the PDB are also worse than normal, grr!

I did a live report while I was out there though I never did finish the last few days of pictures - I hope to do so eventually when I stop moping, LOL. It's the reason I'm so hopeless at doing TR's after the event, I take so long to pull myself together after a trip and I don't take notes so I forget half of what I did when I finally get around to being in the mood!

Hope you had a good one too? Wish I had the vacation days available to go at Christmas too, I'm soooo jealous. We're actually pondering doing xmas next year just because it means we could wangle a 3 week trip that way

Bummer about losing the holiday snaps.

Reminds me of the sketch Peter Kaye did about holidays, LOL, he so hits the nail on the head with the "Rember what we were doing this time last week........" LOL.

It is depressing coming back from any holiday and I feel your pain.

We haven't managed to goto Orlando (as a family, couple we did many moons ago), although we did go last year with our little girl to DLP which she still asks when we're going back, LOL.

As the others have said getting the plans in for your next trip can get it all coming back. We plan to go although it will be around 2 to most probably 3 years away, but I feel like I want to at least get a deposit down as soon as possible and then I'll feel that that's us on the way.

The only way I was able to get over the blues was to book for next year! We came back on the 11th July and I was online pricing up for next year on the 12th July:thumbsup2 As things stand now we won't be going back in 2012 but you never know! So for now I'm looking forward to next June and counting down the days!

Funny you say that ............ the worst post disney depression I ever had was when we went at this time of the year .... I think it's down to the fact you've got the whole winter ahead of you.

We also had one of our best trips ever! Must of been something in the air lol!
Everything was wonderful, we thought BA CW was fantastic def a match for Virgin. Our cruise was somewhat disrupted by TS Nicole we never made it to Castaway Cay as a result but we just rolled with it. Wasn't the weather GORGEOUS after Oct 1st?!?! Ah I could take that all year perfect PERFECT weather. Sigh I miss it so much.

This is our first ever actual Christmas (we've always vacationed around it) in FL so we are beyond excited :)

So glad you had a fantastic trip, I'm half way through your trippie right now.

Well since Paul has kindly provided us with a support group ;) I must say I do feel slightly better today after my first decent night's sleep since Thursday night. I felt like the walking dead yesterday  but DD and I got to bed early and slept right through so hopefully we can adjust.

Disneymad had the perfect words: MUNDANE! After the happy atmosphere where everyone wants to make sure YOU are having nothing short of a great time, it is a bit of a rude shock to the system to come back home when everyone else wants YOU to make sure THEY are okay. :upsidedow

My head is still in Florida time. I am still trying to sort out the missing CD I bought (Disney Photo Gallery). I think I posted on a different thread that I got home and unsealed the box to find it empty. For some reason I am unreasonably upset about it. I contacted PhotoPass on Sunday and have made at least 10 phone calls, being transferred to various departments and nobody can help. All I want is the CD I paid for. PP said they respond in 1 to 2 days, but 3 days later I have heard nothing from them. Grr.

I am going to look at my budget this weekend and see what I can put together for next year. Less extras to keep the costs down, but I need my Disney Dose.

Sorry to hear about your cruise we were watching the weather channel a lot and were wondering how much all the TS would affect the cruise ships. DH likes the idea of doing a land/sea holiday next time but i am not sure i want to have less park time either that or its a three week trip next time.

Think the only cure is either move there or plan another DH wants to put the deposit down now but i want to just hold off a bit and wait for the flights to be available and go from there.

You are right the weather was perfect bit cool at night a couple of times but a much better temp and humidity was good too. October seems to be the month we like the most and we have been Aug and Sep.

Well a big "boo " to whoever was complaining about your leave. They are just jealous!!

Surely it is better to be organised?

:thumbsup2YES!!!

Next best option

I'm doing the same thing. Just a bit uncertain about the leave story at work though - major outcry from someone at the last minute that I put in my holiday dates so far in advance :rolleyes1
I would tell them to stop being a sour faced puss and get a grip:rotfl2:Stupid oaff:cutie: Lee you dont have to do expensive next year if your a bit strapped .There are so many nice places to stay offsite as well.I am like you and think I will book offsite then get there and wished I had booked on.We were determined when we came back to go back to AKLV but pricing up DVC for 2 studios or a one bedroom for a week is around £1200+DDP + tickets+flights + cruise of 7 nights looking at over £6000:scared1::scared1:So looking off site as well and maybe do a 5 night DC 3 nights off and 6 on.Didnt bother us moving at all infact enjoyed it.
Regards the pretzels.I still have a tin of cinnemon sweets from 2008 in my wardrobe that I open the lid and smell:rotfl2:Makes me think of cinnimon rolls and coffee on main street.Iv even sat tonight watchin VA planes takin off on utube:sad1:and have a screen saver of the Harry pottor plane we flew out on my laptop. So your not the only fruit and nut in the cake:rotfl:

Thanks :) Honestly it was kind of a blessing in disguise because basically the worst that could happen, happened. Cruise during a storm, terrible weather, missing Castaway Cay and we really still loved our cruise despite that. I would def recommend doing 3 weeks if incorperating a cruise, it would seriously eat your time on a 2 week hol.

We have ourselves toyed with the idea of moving there but our situation changed and now we are pretty happy with our home life so don't feel the need to. :goodvibes We are very blessed to get to spend lots of time in FL though and whilst I adore it, I really would not want to live and work there. Now if we won the lottery and I could just play all day every day I may have a different outlook  I would certainly have a different waist measurement.

The up north-ers will laugh at my pansy down south-ness I am sure but I actually took a wrap out with me a couple of nights due to the temps LOL. I like that though, esp if doing a park or something later on. It's much nicer to be cooler than getting the ''summer months sweat'' on.

Agree! That person must be really sad to complain about something like someone putting their holiday dates in early. I hope the powers that be that decide if you can take them ignore that person.
