Been back a week now and still gutted.... :-(

Cant be bothered to do any work. any cure ???? LOL

I agree with all of the above.

Just adding one more: a virtual hug from a DIS buddy going through the same thing

We flew in yesterday. Back to work today and I feel very unpatriotic at the moment :rotfl: I left on Saturday evening with the fresh feeling of 2 weeks of clear blue skies and sunshine on my skin .... to come back to howling wind, grey skies and lashing ice cold rain. I need a Green Card :rolleyes1

Thanks Louise. I am going to do my highs (lots) and lows (hardly any) today. I will be doing a TR. I also managed to get over 300 Photopass pictures on my card plus 79 from our resort photo session so I think that should keep me out of mischief for a while. I haven't tried to view them yet as I need don't want to dent into my 30 days too soon. I also took about 2000 pictures so I guess I will have to post some ;) Did you get Photopass Paul?

Cant believe that thays you back already. Its always hard having to go straight back to work. Just start planning again. I managed to book our HRH room today so just car and flights to go. Thinking of just paying for the flights just now so that I know we are going but Im hoping that they may come down a little over the next few months especially when the companies realise that the current climate people dont have the money to spend on their over inflated prices.

How funny - I was just saying to DH last night I have not seen a post from the lady in scotland who surprised her daughter (as you are known in our house!).

Cannot wait to see your highs and lows please get something up before I leave!!

Agree that the only cure seems to be to rebook.

I'm still struggling weeks later as we wont be going till maybe 2013 due to us saving to move house and other things.

I'm sure WDW will still be there in 2013 but it doesn't feel like it right now. Might book a few days at DLRP but it just isn't the same.

The only other thing is Christmas gives me the same warm feeling that Disney does so can't wait for that to roll around.

I have just posted them. ;) I actually thought of you when we went to the Poly both times.

Paul, where are your highs and lows, or did I miss them while I was away?

I thought it would be my last trip for a long time, but talking with my friend today and we both agreed that if we find ourselves in the financial position to go back next year we will.
I just can't imagine not going back and the thought of a sunbathing holiday to Egypt bores me a little.

In all seriousness, when I came back home from my trip in June i just felt so down :( Planning the next trip helps!

Maybe you can find comfort by knowing that others share the feeling .... and some of us :rolleyes1 are being downright ridiculous (not talking about anyone but myself by the way). I feel like a complete idiot tonight but I brought back a large bag of chip n dale pretzels (love 'em :thumbsup2). They are sitting next to my bed but I can't bring myself to eat them because I bought them on my last night there at the MK - an evening when our plans for the MK went to pot because we deviated from the first part of the plan and the evening was written off. So I sat with DD who was upset because we couldn't get to Frontierland due to crowds for the parade while big tears rolled down the side of the pack of pretzels because I felt like I had ruined our last evening :confused3. In reality we had pushed ourselves to the limit with our itinerary and were just too physically exhausted and arrived later than we should have at the park that night. The silly point I am making is now I can't bear to eat from the bag because I want to cry when I look at it. Now I challenge anyone to beat that on the scale of being utterly silly! I need a good night's sleep. However, hopefully my confession of this completely bizarre behaviour will make anyone else feeling down have a good laugh. Go on - I dont mind. And it will make all of us feel better! ;) :goodvibes

Ah, that story actually made me feel rather sad! But I'm sure your family will only remember the great memories from your trip! Plus you have next year to look forward to!

I'm still feeling down over a year later. No idea when our next WDW holiday will be as any saved money will be helping DS and DD through university for the next 6 years at least.

Still, I'm lucky to have the memories that a lot of people will never be able to afford.

(Doesn't stop me nipping off to the bathroom to have a quick sniff at the Panama Jack suncream we brought back last year!)

I know how your feeling!! Its only been 5 days and it feels like I've been home weeks. In fact I have avoided the DIS until today :( all I can think about it is florida!! Disney really is too addictive, we've already priced up trips but there is no chance we can afford to go again next year.
