Post election will the boards return to "normal"?

So once this election is over do you think we'll have another several weeks of post election threads, can you believe XYZ got elected?, such & such happened wherever, whats gonna change now that XYZ got elected or will we get some "normal" topics on page 1 of the CB?

Well, if the last 8 years are anything to go by, you see threads for the next 4 to 8 years about how the guy that won is saving/ruining the country.

Depends. If its close, then there will be plenty of ACORN this and Scare Tactics that. Who stole the election, who bought the election, blah blah blah. But if we get the landslide, that some are predicting, it will quiet down quicker.

Definitely!! Lots of whining, throwing hissy fits, pointing fingers, "it was fixed", "there should be a re-count", etc., etc..

What I am more concerned about though is that people on this board have become so heated and vengeful over this election, they won't be able to set aside the harsh feelings they have towards particular posters and will continue to hold grudges and create chaos on every thread that those particular posters start or post to.. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but it's been really, really bad around here and I'm afraid that long after the election is over, there will be continuing "grudge matches"..

As normal as normal gets around here. I think we can count on a number of sore losers, especially if Obama doesn't win. Republicans tend to take things more in stride. Either way, there is never a lack of political issues to keep this board warmed up.

Dang! I was sooooo hoping I wouldn't hear anymore politics on the DIS! I've stayed away for awhile because I was sick of all the nutters out there.


I was hoping to be able to enjoy the DIS again. Guess I'll have to stay away awhile longer!
