Start planning another trip!!! ;) I have also done scrapbooks...helps me relive the moments.

We haven't even left yet and I'm already depressed thinking about coming back home!! 14 more days to go.

:rotfl: Enjoy every moment... even the ones waiting a long time for buses. I'm missing even THOSE right now!

I TOTALLY know what you mean! On our last full day I almost always cry because I know it's our last day but I don't want it to be. The morning that we leave I'm typically okay because we're in such a rush but as soon as our plane lands and I'm navigating my hometown roads the Disney Depression is back full force.

I've found the best way to "get over it" is to plan another vacation. Said vacation can be actual one or one planned just for fun. As AP holders we travel to The World at least twice each year and the day after we get home I start to plan and book our next one. We returned on May 1st and on May 2nd I was looking into Bonnet Creek for October. The day after I found that Vacation Upgrades had our requested dates available, the day after that I purchased our airline tickets. Once our resort contract was signed and mailed I began making ADRs.

I was sad about being back home for one day before the excitement started to kick in in regard to our October trip. Now, I'm looking forward to that. :thumbsup2

Because I usually overdo leading up to and including the trip I need a Disney break as soon as I get home. I shut it down entirely. I even quit the DIS for a few weeks and then gradually get back to obsessing with Disney.

I go to the Disney website and plan a 7 day trip with the Premium dining plan...

Its even worse when you only get to go every three years or so... it is SOOO long before you get to go back. But I too like to imagine it.

Before we go I always try to make a list of things ahead to look forward to as well so hopefully there is something we can think about!

Start booking the next one. Its the ONLY way to get through it. Even if it is far out, start researching, finding way to save up for it, etc. We were already planning our next trip on the drive home.

As you can see, the general attitude is to start planning the next visit. :thumbsup2

  1. Spend some time now contemplating what you missed or didn't have time for. Make a list of those items so you can include them in your plans for next time.
  2. Think about the things you did that weren't worth repeating. Make a list of those and don't fall victim to a time-sink next visit.
  3. Decide which experiences were "do not miss" based on your recent trip. Make a list of them for your next trip.
  4. Keep reading the DIS Boards for new things.

This is ME!!!! I always am sad before we even leave...just thinking about how fast the vacation will fly by and then I will be back in the "real world" again:eek:

This always happens as soon as we get there!! You spend all that time planning and waiting but once it starts, you know it's going to end:sad1:

Once we leave I have to go through the Disney withdrawal - no Disney music, no visits to the DIS, no looking at the pictures. That phase usually lasts at least a week or two. Then I start uploading pictures and thinking about what we want to do on our next trip:banana:

Like others have stated I start planning the next trip, even before we leave to come home from WDW. I have a CD collection of music and one CD that is Walt being interviewed at different events, music, and old Disney commercials that I listen to in the car. I check the boards dailey, plan for dining, basically keep busy planning. One thing I don't do is tell people we are planning another trip because I get tired of hearing "your going to Disney again?". This last trip in May was so wonderful, weather was great, crowds were small, just a wonderful time. But was especially hard to come to work and the daily grind after that.... Planning our September trip now.

Jumping on the train....plan the next trip! :cool1: However, that's not always feasible for everyone. Glad we have 2 planned right now and will be starting to plan for next year when we return in Oct. 21 more days here!! :cool1:

Okay, so I also plan the next trip.....and I am old with no children to take, other than a grown daughter. So I started to run the Disney races so I could make trips as often as possible to the "most magical place on earth.". I hated running until 18 months ago and now it is my pass to be a kid at Disney several times a year. :thumbsup2

OMG OMG, we've only been back for 5 days too and it feels like we were there FOREVER ago! The post-Disney blues this time around are much worse than trips past. I chalk it up to how bad things were in reality and how bad we needed to escape it, and the length of our trip. 18 days makes you feel like you have started a new, awesome life! Then you have to go back to a sucky reality after all that fun! So even oodles of time there didn't help us :( But it helps to know I'm not the only one who has a hard time coming home .

That's the way I am. I'm a scrapbooker but I have yet to scrap my Disney stuff. If I know I don't have a trip coming up for a while, I just shut down totally and do something different.

Of course, by the time a trip is over it helps that I usually need to focus on other things. Since I pretty much ignore everything else in my life when I'm planning my trip. I'm in planning mode now and I've barely done any scrapbooking (or laundry) in the last two weeks. ;)
