is it a good one? What time does it end. Thinking about this one and need to know which flight home to take.

We booked our own post-cruise excursion through Landsea Tours, www.vancouvertours.com. The problem with doing it through Disney is that you can't book it until you're on the ship. We were taking a red-eye flight home--10:30PM, so we had a full day to do stuff. We booked the full day 'Sea to Sky' Tour 2 months in advance. They picked us and our luggage up at the port at 10AM, we did the full day tour, then they dropped us and our luggage off at the airport around 6PM. They do a few different post-cruise tours, of various lengths--one of them being the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain one. We really enjoyed our tour, and I'd definitely recommend them!

We did the post excursion tour through Disney because we had time to kill before our 5:30 Amtrak train.

For us, it was a great solution of having something to do for the day and a place to put our bags.

The excursion guide walked us off the ship and through customs, right to the bus. Our bags were loaded under the bus.

We had a narrator and ride through of downtown, Stanley Park (got out near the totem poles), and Capilano Suspension Bridge. Those of us who were not getting dropped at the airport were dropped back at the cruise terminal.

We took a short walk to downtown and enjoyed lunch. We had planned to take the light rail to Amtrak but it was so nice out that we decided to walk the few miles.

The excursion had to be booked onboard ship, can not prebook. We enjoyed this excursion and would recommend it.

And for those looking to create their own post cruise experience.... have CDS baggage ship your luggage to the airport (great for flights after 8pm) for about $40 while you check out attractions on your own.
  • Grouse Mountain?
  • Capilano Suspension Bridge?
  • Hop On with Stanley Park, Gastown, and Granville Island?
Catch the subway to the airport afterwards for about $4 each.

What time did you leave the ship? How long was the tour? It sounds like it wasn't very long.

We brought our luggage with us to early breakfast, then met in one of the adult-only areas. As soon as everyone showed up, we were escorted off the ship. So I am guessing maybe 9am or so by the time we were on the bus.

No, the tour was not really all that long but the timing worked our well for us since we were getting the train that afternoon.
Having somewhere to leave our luggage (under the bus) while sight seeing for the morning was a big draw for us.

What is CDS?
CDS operates baggage services at the airport and cruise terminal. You can have luggage held at the cruise terminal til 4pm. Otherwise you can request luggage be transferred to their airport location for evening pickup.

Service is popular.... can be a long wait. They are located next to the car rentals at the cruise terminal exit.
